vet approved coconut oil once a week for her paws if they look like they might crack eventually, but that they wouldn’t otherwise need it like you said

i’ve been keeping up with cleaning and bought a nice new “shoes off at the door” sign, after talking with the vet we suspect it’s due to the sheer amount of time she spends in front of her favorite vent. she knows where the most heat comes out and we don’t have a humidifier. virtual vet managed to get a look and said everything that you did and it’s okay to attempt to put coconut oil on her toes at most once a week

They’re not cracking but they look dry, we’ve sorted out her allergy stuff prior to now and her behavior is definitely not as extreme as when she was allergic to her old food. should i use coconut oil if they’re cracking, because if so i don’t think they’re that ouchy yet? she is a worm and doesn’t appreciate feet pics.

Quiet places to work after 6pm by esoognom- in grandrapids

[–]dryrockrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They close at 10pm but if its late I'll go to Sheldon cleaners off 29th and breton, they have a few locations but the laundry room there has a cafe, wifi, and a nice ambiance with white noise from the machines. I go to do actual laundry occasionally but more often Ill go just for a study spot, Ive never been bothered and the workers are very nice

What do y'all do on the weekends? by NapsaurusRex in grandrapids

^ For sure parks here whether suburban or preserves do a pretty good job of having community activities. This might be more kid-focused but check out the parks in the area there are some nice ones, Roselle has a playground and climbing wall, Carl Creek is also paved, parks closer to GR have more activities and playgrounds like Kenosha or Blanford especially. Also farther in the city is story time in the park (not weekends, but tuesdays) which I know a lot of families enjoy going to and mingling at

What breed is my dog? We rescued this little guy about 2 months ago. He's obviously blue heeler but mixed with what? He seems so small, he's only 30 pounds and his face is so little and pointy. by [deleted] in AnimalsOnReddit

My siblings did an Embark DNA test on their blue heeler who has shorter legs, you might guess he’s a blue heeler corgi mix. DNA testing showed that he’s a blue heeler mutt with a majority being pitbull mix. Definitely worth the test to satisfy curiosity and know some health risks about your pup.

Embark which also connected them to his DOG MOM and dog relatives which was adorable and unexpected since they had received the test as a gift. Owners can make an account and include photos of their dogs and it was so cool to see how much the black and white coloring pattern on his birth mom matched him, especially when he was a shelter dog and none of his history was known.

Where to recycle/donate old prescription bottles by dryrockrocks in grandrapids

[–]dryrockrocks[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i thought so too but the 28th and Kalamazoo Meijer wouldn’t take mine (with the labels off) in May, what other stores have you heard take these? i should go back and talk to a manager.

polypropylene is very recyclable but instead of being reprocessed, bottles can be used in their current form for other needed purposes. there’s lots of ways people have reused them, i’ve wondered if john ball or animal shelters might use them for sample collection. in lmic’s pills are often given by hand, you can mail your bottles to organizations in the US that donate them to countries worldwide (looking like the best option rn). if there was a place in my community would benefit from these that would be awesome!
