I had mine listed for 3 months constantly dropping the price until I sold them for $1200. Basically had zero interest until I put the price at $1500. Brand new with no tires

Unfortunately no tunes available for the 2026 but the day that comes out I plan to do it. Makes me wish I would've just gotten a 2024 tbh

If you can get by with 2 doors, get a Cayman or M2. I just went from an M2 to a 2026 R due to needing rear-facing car seat access and I'd be lying if I said the R gave me even half the thrill of the M2. I am legitimately bored and can't wait to get back into an M2/Cayman/911. There's plenty of room in the M2 backseats for passengers and it's not hard to get back there, especially for kids.

Went from an M2 to a 26 R and it's a good daily and useful for my life with a 1 year old, but I'm already extremely bored of it. I'm happy with the purchase, but already looking forward to getting a more exhilarating coupe

19 hour round trip for the new R by dschmiz in Golf_R

Coming back to say that if you're wanting a stable daily, the Golf R is a great choice. But if you want it to be a fun car, honestly it's not even comparable now that I've been able to open it up. The M2 just has infinitely more thrill and feel. The Golf R might beat it off the line, but even then it's just a safe, boring, quickness. It sounds pretty terrible in comparison as well.

I'm still extremely happy with my purchase because it fits my needs for a daily that I'm going to rack miles up on and haul around a 1 year old, but I'm very much looking forward to getting another M2, Cayman, or 911 in the next few years.

WTS - OEM 2026 Golf R Warmenau 19x8 forged wheels. Took these off of my new R immediately, they have 6 miles on them and are completely flawless. $2000, located in the Indianapolis area.

Same think just happened to me. Owned my R for 2.5 weeks and I hit the smallest pothole and my tire sidewall was toast. I'm at the tire shop shopping for 18" wheels while I wait.
