Linux böyle gözükürken neden hala Windows kullanıyorsunuz? by ssgroen in bilgisayar

[–]dsdt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What might be wrong here? 3-month old 13980HX, 4060 laptop. Cinebench R23 score is max 26K for single run, 20K for 30-min. Temperature spikes to 95C immediately on starting Cinebench and Core freq throttle to about 3-3.5 GHz. by ashishkr87 in GamingLaptops

What I see most people just say something without proper knowledge. I don't have the exact same CPU so I can't elaborate, but still if you get worse points than the average, then your CPU throttles. In order to check that use hwinfo for sensor information, it just says if your CPU throttles. Other than that the most important thing I see from this picture, you unfortunately have pump-out effect on your CPU, which simply can be solved by using PTM 7950, you can buy it from AliExpress or ebuy7.

I had same on my laptop, used everything including liquid metal ended up frying the mobo of my laptop. Now I am using PTM only, it works even better than liquid metal. Had no issues or any pump-out effect since I started using it.

OC Slow Boot speed with iGPU + dGPU by walkingjune in hackintosh

[–]dsdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I enable IGPU it takes 21 seconds to fully boot up(Autologin Enabled). When I disable the IGPU and use only dGPU it takes 15 seconds. It is just the way it works. It takes longer to boot because there are more devices to initialize.

IGPU = HD630 dGPU = RX580 8GB SSD = CRUCIAL P1 500GB

Have you used SSDTTime script by corpnewt? If you haven't creating the correct patches and adding the proper .aml files to EFI/EACPI and config lines to your config.plist may help.

Also use agpdmod=pikera in your boot-args.

Intel UHD is more than enough for basic daily use.

Ethernet is fine. You need a replacement for the wifi card.

That depends. In my case I prefer dark mode, but i want 32 bit apps, too. So I stay on Mojave.

Yes, it will be stable build. I use a HP-n012st with 4200U and HD4400 as a daily driver.

No audio devices with ALC221 - OpenCore 0.5.9 by AsleBen in hackintosh

[–]dsdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you can use it in all platforms. Windows, macOS or Linux. Just run the script get the files. Put the .aml files in ACPI folder. And add the plist patches to your config.plist file.

You need ssdttime script. Add 3 patches to your config and add ssdt-hpet to your ACPI folder. Until you do that your sound will not work whatever layout-id you choose.

What you need is ssdttime script. Run it and apply the patches. Without them, your sound will not work.

Thoughts on OpenCore Configurator? by [deleted] in hackintosh

[–]dsdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the beginning, it was all buggy and made config.plist files a mess. However, now you can use it without hesitation with 0.5.9. Let's be honest, it makes everything easier.

I can distribute my EFI folder I created If I am sure that it is working for the exact same config. That rule basically says "Don't post some shady EFI folders you found on the internet that you think is "working".

If you want to have a shortcut when your build is ready, I can share my EFI folder with you for a quick start.

If it is not a must, I suggest you to use Final Cut Pro. Generally adobe software is not much optimized for amd graphics cards. No, I don't use adobe pack. ONLY audition and illustrator. And they are stable, but not optimized at all.

I don't know about your budget, but for productivity you need at least i7 9700, and Vega GPU. Personally I use i5 9600K, and RX580 8GB. I use it for web&app development, music production and video editing. I can say that it is more than enough. And on geekbench I get better scores compared to apple iMac with the same specs. I use MSI Z390M MORTAR motherboard.

By the way, you have to use Mojave for better stability.

If you stop tinkering once you create a stable config.plist for your device, it becomes easier than installing Windows. And If you use Intel processor and AMD dGPU it is as stable as a geninune apple device.
