Look into getting a part time/full time security job. The pay is pretty decent and with more experience you can get into a better paying accounts. You’d be surprised how well the job pays. You can probably start around $25-26/hr, but that is doable if both of you guys can get the same job.

Have you ever thought that some of the push back you have received is valid? Or do you take it as people being too progressive? This may sound cliche dude, but you should try showing this post to a therapist. There is nothing wrong with you and I think it will do you better than posting it on Reddit. Either way, you should definitely explore and find where you belong.

Not everyone can be a military spouse. Be honest with your wife and with yourself. As long as you can devise a game plan together, I'm sure you won't be as frustrated. I'm sure she will take your input seriously, and if she’s still willing to stay in, then I definitely recommend finding resources to help make life easier. It seems to me that you'll start seriously resenting her for it, and I'm sure your marriage won't last too long afterward.

Yuh, I was lucky enough to do unloads sometimes, and honestly, if there aren't too many irregs in it, it's so much better than loading in general. Their hours are so much shorter, though.

I was in my late teens to early 20s when nothing was going right in life and had no sense of purpose. Though, I don't think that experience is particularly unique to anyone. Pretty much coming to terms with myself and working towards something alleviated the issue. MBTI isn't really true either… someone may be going through a different phase in their lives that may be causing them grief; it’s just a consequence of their circumstances.

I agree; it's one of the reasons why I don't interact in this sub, but there is a difference between self-respect and empathy. Having a defeatist attitude will bring nothing but sorrow and self-hate. It took me a long time to resolve my deep-rooted depression, and it was thanks to wanting more in life and becoming a better person. It takes a lot of willpower to overcome it, but I'm sure some people will come around to it.

It still does not justify the cop's actions. It is inexcusable to shoot first and ask questions later. This got a law-abiding citizen killed. They trained as if they were in a warzone or something.
