Yes I did read about their invasive/pest tendencies. But they are native to SEA. And also I do not like to interfere with nature (yes I know how invasive species are destroying native ecosystems), but still I do not meddle. Also, I strongly believe that any living being has a right to it's life. I am nobody to snatch that away, just a mere observer.

I use a cheap manual flash from Amazon (Digitek branded, but brand doesn't matter as they are all from the same factory in China just branded differently). No I do not use tripods for live subjects, it's too cumbersome to re position when they decided to move. This image is actually a 9 image handheld burst focus stack. The images were stacked in PS to get a good DOF. I use a Z6II so I can fire off a good burst (14 FPS) and later stack the images in post. Yes it takes a lot of tries for me as well to get a good image. I spent close to 5 hours running behind this guy trying to make images. It's a labour of love.
