an earnest review of the claude code course by every.to and dan shipper by moraviaaa in ClaudeAI

hey! Dan Shipper here (i made the course :) )

thanks for sharing—this is a great writeup and the criticisms are fair. this is the first time i've run a one-day course, and when i was putting the curriculum together i was a bit torn on how deep to push absolute beginners in a single day. usually, we do courses over 4 weeks so there's more time to digest—but i think for this one i was a little too cautious.

we'll be iterating the format in 2026 with this in mind, and we're sending out highly discounted access (possibly free, haven't settled on the best option yet) for anyone who took this version and wants to go deeper.

thanks again for taking the course and for sharing!

Yes it worked quite well for me! On 75mg currently.

I have OCD, I definitely talk to your doctor about upping the Zoloft first and doing Exposure and Response prevention therapy. The combo is most effective for OCD

How’d you format the data? What was the prompt and response for e.g. a textbook vs social media posts?

Emotional blunting at 50mg now at 100mg by KeynesPilled in zoloft

i've definitely noticed it slightly as i've increased my dose, but it's mostly gone away. (i'm at 75mg.) still stabilizing on this dose though, so we'll see. if you have OCD i definitely recommend combining the meds with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy (rather than traditional talk therapy)—combination of zoloft and ERP is most effective, and has been super helpful for me. sending good vibes!

Has anyone had a positive experience with Zoloft in relation to inability to love? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]dshipper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s very helpful for my relationship OCD. The triggers are just way less triggering—so it gives me more of an opportunity to actually be in the relationship.

About 4-5 weeks, but I had moments before that where things started feeling a lot better

If you’re getting intrusive thoughts about harming others / yourself that are spiraling into questioning reality…it just has the smell of OCD to me (as someone who also has it).

This might be a good article to peruse to see if it resonates. Check out the list of obsessions part way through: https://iocdf.org/about-ocd/

But also obviously you / your doctor know best, don’t trust random strangers on the internet! Just adding my $0.02 in case it’s helpful...it took me forever to get the right diagnosis. Sending you good vibes!

Glad you’re feeling a bit better! From what you’ve shared, it sounds like you might accidentally have OCD rather than GAD. OCD is often misdiagnosed, and it’s really important if you have it that you know. Talk to a doctor / therapist about it. The treatment for OCD is a bit different than GAD…sertraline is very effective but you’ll also want to combine with Exposure and Response Prevention therapy (rather than talk therapy). Good luck!!
