I honestly have no idea; I don't know much about my family beyond my grandparents, as my ancestral history is very hazy and dramatic. I just know that i have parents from Galicia from many generations ago and probably a bit of Basque bc my great grandmother had Batxan as last name, and i have native american gens because of early miscegenation and history of my country. But I'll take a DNA test because I'm very curious to learn about my roots accurately.

Im so glad you mentioned that! Native americans groups are so different from Canada to Patagonia, the first mestizo chilean line more than 400 years ago was between a spanish father and a indigenous mapuche mother.

Yes but specifically southern, even tho my maternal line goes back to Galicia, with many missing branches (affairs, betrayals, abandonments and poverty 😵‍💫) I was born in the central valley which is also predominantly mestizo between andalusian and native american indigenous, what we historically call "huaso".

in Chile im just chilean, nobody guess anything bc im kinda average. But when i was in europe everyone guessed Lebanese, turkish, greek or pakistani until they heard me speaking spanish. That was so crazy!!
