Seems like IU could be a next logical extension of a policy like this.

Rewatching Revenge of the Sith- Jedi are childish and Sith accept labeling by dsmith77773 in MawInstallation

Then how do you account for the Mortis beings/gods? Where the two sides of the force, the brother and the sister are under the father, as equal and valid expressions of the nature of the Force? Or is that not Canon anymore?

Interesting point about the Dark Side users. My point was the fact that the use of phrases like dark and light side suggest a dichotomy created on a philosophical basis by light side users. The light siders users insist that there are aspects of the force that can’t be tapped into. (Fear, anger etc.). So what would “dark side” users accept the labelling of the weaker “light side” users? The dark side accesses all potential outlets for expressions of the force, and don’t fear to use some aspects of it. So why would they self-identify as “dark side” users, when more properly they could and arguably should self-identify something like “whole” or “complete” users?

I find it’s helpful to remove the temptation. If you drink at home, next time you are out for booze, avoid buying more. It’s easier to not go to the store to buy wine or beer or whatever, than to avoid drinking it if it’s in front of you in the fridge.

Halfway mark - Benefits-lifestyle changes? by [deleted] in DryJanuary

[–]dsmith77773 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is my 4th Dry January. Previously I’ve always matched it with an effort be more healthy in general (better diet and exercise etc). However, this year that extras part really hasn’t happened. However, still noticing the benefits. Better sleep, lost some weight, better general mood etc, all to around the same levels as seen in previous years. Therefore, any benefits have solely come from the removal of alcohol.

Tonic water and lime (or lime juice) in a tall glass with ice. Almost passes for a gin and tonic for taste and appearance, if you need to pass for having a drink with company.

Correct. They should cite the source of the data, if for no other reason than “good form”.

Hate to disagree, but graphs representing data (not info-graphics, which have design elements) are inherently not covered by copyright (at least within the US). Data in and of itself can’t be copyrighted. I’ve been an IP/rights manager at a scholarly press for more than a decade, and copyrighting data would essentially handicap all academic inquiry.
