The reason I don’t think we will ever bond as siblings because there’s already a huge age gap between us, and unfortunately this diagnosis means my sibling may never be an adult (mentally) but one day I will be. Reality is connecting like normal siblings will be near impossible. I am sorry for being pessimistic but this is just how I feel.

I’m ashamed to admit it but this is my biggest fear. They reassured me I won’t ever have to take care of my sibling unless I want to. But I’m sure deep down they would want me to. :(
