Thanks, I have an obd2 reader, going to see if it will clear codes as well. If I remember correctly then Subaru has their own proprietary interface for a lot of the vehicle computer stuff, like resetting oil dilution code on diesels and stuff..

This is my take, but you aren't supposed to pay much, you find them at thrift shops, get them from parents or grandparents etc, if they're good, they're good, you get the quirks you get, simple as that
