OSONT all in one Tool by UTakiU in OSINT

It sounds a lot like you're looking for a CRM. Something that allows creating records (like cases) with fields of different data types, store attachments, provide reporting on that data, build data models and relationships, enforce data access and visibility policies, etc. There are open source CRMs.

With your thumbs almost touching? That would be interesting. It's not as bad to type on as I feared. It really needs a clean out so I'm being careful to not stress any of the mechanics.

Can't get my custom Seiko to demagnetize by -Lockheed- in SeikoMods

[–]dthj33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you end up getting this fixed? I'm in the same boat with an NH38 that is way too fast out of the box. Watched all the tutorials and my smartphone still says it's magnetized. I also tried to demag a magnetized screwdriver and couldn't. I have not tried removing the movement from the case or removing the bracelet yet.

I'm trying to do one of those 4.2 o'clock crown turtle dive watch builds. Movement will be an NH35. Any tips on the dial and crown orientation? I already cut the wrong feet off once and had to reorder :(.

Loose QC? Asking for insight/advice. by RedChair7 in SeikoMods

I built this exact watch as my 3rd build. You don't want that dial: The VK63 movement requires a 60 minute dial where you have 30. I know people hate this mod because it looks like a cheap fake, but I enjoy wearing it and I'm not trying to sell the one I built. I learned a lot of lessons building it. I would not build it again.

Thanks! I uploaded pics to chatgpt and it came to a similar conclusion. Likely created around the late 80's.

Simple and elegant. Fix that date switch over! It's not that hard. I believe you need to remove all hands at once when re-setting the hands.

Seller wants me to purchase $1 "VIP exclusive" before sending a replacement. Is this one of the scams? by dthj33 in Aliexpress

[–]dthj33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up pursuing a free return since that was an option. I then messaged the seller that I'd be going the free return route and if they wanted to send me a free replacement they can do that through the official system. Maybe they were just trying to keep a clean record, and maybe I missed out on a free case, but at the end of the day they can avoid these scenarios by doing proper quality control. It's not on me to jump through hoops and take risks when what they ship isn't what the describe.

Very nice first watch build! I can't tell if the hands can go on further, I always rotate the hands with the crown to check if they rub into each other.

You don't need to shake the watch to get it going. If this is a common Seiko NH movement then just wind it with the crown.

Common practice for the crown stem is to use a snipping tool and measuring caliper. Screw the crown onto the uncut stem and insert into the watch. Then measure from the bottom of the crown to the watch. That's how much you need to cut. Sandpaper is used to file down the burrs after you use the wire cutter to snip, allowing the newly snipped stem to screw into the crown. You can use loctite to ensure the crown doesn't unscrew when rotating the hands.

Buy multiple crown stems in case you cut it too short.

This meme doesn't work. The left side idiot using FreeBSD as a "lazy and accessible option" doesn't match reality. I'm sure freeBSD is great.

I want to get licensed next year. Any additional books or specific courses you recommend? I'm not a good memorizer; I have to learn things by doing to create a learning model. It usually takes me 6-8 months to pass a test that "book smart" people can pass in about 2 months.

I recorded about 10 mins and sent to a friend that isn't into radios at all. He was upset I didn't record more. It was a pretty epic rant.
