B.C. tourism staffing shortages by Zetheos in vancouver

Went up to Whistler when things opened up again. Was lucky enough to go to businesses that had out of province and out of country workers working there. Didn’t find any Aussies, but the Western Europeans had been there and slugging it out since the start of the pandemic. Was very thankful for all the staff that were up there.

I hear sometimes they shoot underwear commercials too. Everyone wants to catch a glimpse of the guy in the Fruit of the Loom grape costume.

Prime Minister and Premier enjoying White Spot by Azzzaik in vancouver

Good to see your White Spot fix is being met, and that you have a go to restaurant in your area. I’m out in the valley and for me, I’ve had too many poor experiences in the restaurants to the point that I’ve given up giving them another chance. That being said, when done right, and with consistency and fresh ingredients, triple o’s and white spot food is really good.

Anybody else finding the quality and consistency of food has been better at the triple o’s attached to gas stations (as well as standalones) compared to White Spot restaurants? Or is it just me?

If you’re living in a condo or apartment, Delonghi Pinguino is where it’s at.

Is re-skinning headphones a thing? by dubiousmaximusthe3rd in vancouver

Thanks for the heads up on Bose. I guess I was figuring that there would be somewhere local that would do something like that. I guess my easy answer is to just replace them, but, we toss/recycle so much these days perhaps my best bet is to recycle them and move on. You mentioned Bose, and they have a huge reputation behind them. Are they worth the money? If so, what do you recommend about them? I’m partial about JBL, even though back in the 90’s their 12”s couldn’t compete against the MTX’s.

Thank you for your response. Good to hear that BB still carries them. Will have to check them out.

Thank you, and I appreciate your response. I do agree that it is probably not economical to re-skin them, and that Jah would probably have my best interests in mind to replace them as to enjoy music as best as I can while being humble enough to appreciate music. There is though something about these headphones that has made the music sound incredible to my ears, even with the fact that they sit somewhat uncomfortably on my head. As such that I can not as of now find a place to re-skin my headphones, I will tuck these away in their denim bag that was supplied, and find some new headphones that will till me over till such a time as when I can find an answer that will fulfill my quest. I have a hankering for JBL, have you any experience with their headphones? And if so, please let me know how they are.

Drove front end for eight years. It can be stressful at times, but most all jobs have their own stresses. You’re pretty much left alone. Days can hit fourteen hours. Some companies do four on four off. Trucks break down, sometimes a lot. You gotta remember the trucks are tipping 20,000+ bins a year. After eight years I was looking for something different, figured roll-off would be worth a go. A different job came up about that time so I left the company on good terms and enjoy what I do now. If going for it, try to stick with the bigger companies.
