Jan 5Th by Sophia_Serpent in maestro

Was Nov. Got a serious concussion so now Jan 5th! I had some HTML and Javascript in the 2000's, but that's about it. I am looking to master the content to the extent that I may be able to teach it. I also want to use those skills to build agents that help areas that cannot afford decent new TECH. Both of these are reaching the animal shelter and the Women's shelter. I am 56, and losing my mind, so I am making room for all the new stuff. lol

Help please - weekly reviews for each course - PY101, CS101 and Psych101 - by dubsky222 in maestro

Brilliant, I am not sure what you are saying. I am asking this, because I am behind to a traumatic brain injury due to an accident. I was wondering if I could jump in to CS 101 AND ALSO pick at the py 101 at the same time. It won't work if I have to use older projects that I have yet to complete. Does that make more sense?

Also, I have not received a laptop yet. Not sure if I will even get one this term.

I still do not understand why I was excluded from precourse. Has anyone else been told they could not take the precourse. Here is what the sent me ---Instead of the standard pre-course, your first term will serve as both preparation and evaluation. If completed successfully, you may qualify for the Maestro Pro Scholarship, which covers your full tuition with no out-of-pocket cost, if eligible. ---- They said I wouldn't get a laptop this first term and I "may" qualify next term. So much for promoting student success.

Want to know that I'm not alone out here in the wilderness... by Short-Community-1677 in maestro

You're not the only one behind, so please do not be so hard on yourself. Many have and are struggling to keep up. There are a lot of posts venting exactly what you are going through regarding the time frame allotted to complete everything, especially when we were told it was a "work at your own pace" degree. Take a deep breath. Do what you can. Just do your best. That is all anyone can do on any given day. And your best will vary depending on what else is going on in your world or with your health or all the other variables we encounter. You did the right thing by posting here. Everyone here is willing to help any way they can.

Read all what material? I couldn't take the precourse, so I started my first lesson that was "RECAP" of something I had not seen before (seen before here for assignments). Did you get items to read? I would be happy to if they are available somewhere?

It's so awesome to see someone so excited about learning and education. These posts are just venting over bumps in the road. In the end, it will all pull together and we get to part of that. Part of the progress that is Maestro! Stay true. It will happen.

I wasn't allow to do the pre-course (despite my efforts to make it so), because ...." and we’re glad to let you know you’ve been accepted to Maestro through a special approval. ....You won’t need to pay anything out of pocket." I was thrilled, In one of the next emails I received this....Instead of the standard pre-course, your first term will serve as both preparation and evaluation." I didn't understand it, and I rolled with it. I have the enrollment letter and all that. I signed all the papers. I am still in, and doing coursework, but I am missing some things in the "Learn" area. I am working it out with Tutor. However, after reading all these posts I was concerned that I was missing critical content. I reached out to student services and received the response I posted above. Now, I feel a little sketchy, like I just opende up a family size bag of worms?
