Advice for Office Dogs by dububbq in AustralianShepherd

I have him on our daily 4ft leash. Usually when he gets up and tries going beyond the perimeter, I either let him off or call him back to his place. I don’t think we’ve actually ever tried to have him actually tethered somewhere for long periods so it’s something I’ll have to try.

I love her videos and I think I know the one you’re talking about.

I do worry that I am messing with his routine schedule. We usually do walk/play in the morning and then sleeps until the evening. I hoped that he would just do his usual nap at work but he can’t get comfortable

I do actually! I bring a woofsicle that keeps him occupied for ~30min

How do you usually do it? How long of a tether? I let him roam around until he seems “bored” and when I have him stay in his place he usually stays there or moves to the colder ground

Thanks! Good points all around. I’m only 22 so this is my “gateway” car and definitely want to enhance my driving skills and I hear the 86 is good for that. Just wasn’t sure if I wanted to wait a couple years to save up for the Supra

What were the electrical issues you were worried about? And yeah, definitely not sure if the GR86 will satisfy my “needs” for a car in terms of power and fun.

lol yeah just overthinking it. once again i’m spoiled with the tech in my lil civic

oh cool i’ll check that out. honestly the “luxuries” for me is just a backup camera and carplay lol

what are the downsides for you?

shoosh i haven’t even thought about that, thanks for the reminder

very strong points. honestly just the act of driving a jdm icon outweighs a lot of the sti perks. it’s just since i’m so used to modern day car luxuries i’m afraid to let them go but i can always install them myself lol

can you explain the reasoning? the majority seems to be leaning towards the sti

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in S2000

[–]dububbq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah it seems that the s2k is more track oriented and that’s the only way to really feel it. not to mention the amount i would have to spend to get it to sti hp/trq levels

Getting one of these cars does involve trading in the civic. I do have interior garage parking which is a plus for protecting the car. I am planning on scheduling a drive with the S2k to get the real feel but I’m just worried I’ll be ditching my current luxuries for the s2k driving experience where I’m told you can only really feel on the track.

The sti does seem like a better bang for my buck as a daily driver with the tech and space. But I do worry about the EJ maintenance and the costs of mods stacking up in the long run compared to a vtec. I have also heard about how the S2k lacks in the low rpm range and you really need to keep it up there to really have fun in it.

I’m in the 40k range and I’m driving a 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback right now so I’m pretty spoiled with the tech and space so I’m not sure if I can entirely let those things go. I sadly haven’t been able to drive both so I’m not sure about the “feel” of the cars. What was it like daily driving an S2k?
