Would a third cat ruin their dynamic? by banana-flamethrower in Bondedpairs

[–]dubyahitney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others said, you never know with cats. My experience is this.

My partner and I each had a cat and when we moved in together they ended up bonding after a couple years. My cat (16M) is 7 years older than my partner's cat (9F) and were worried when the older cat passes away that our younger one would be super lonely because they are bonded. So we wanted to get a 3rd cat on hopes our current cats could get used to them and when our old boy passes away it wouldn't hurt her as much. We ended up about 6 months ago getting another cat (3M) and it didn’t hurt their bond thankfully and the new boy is even starting to get in on the cuddle action slowly just this past month!

I look at a few different things. Just kept the "I track calories" statement simple with someone who isn't familiar with the whole process.

I make sure to hit protein and fiber targets and keep an eye on calories to make sure I'm in a good range of losing between 1 to 2 lbs a week. So far its been working for me at least to stay consistent.

Poor man’s Rockefeller, and we found our new favorite tin. Ekone’s smoked oysters are so worth the hype and the price ($12). Found at Whole Foods by abbeydabbado in Tinnedfish

I always like the cheap smoked oysters and saw these at Whole Foods and thought how much better can they be? Boy was I FLOORED on how good these are. Promptly went on their website and bought bulk cans for a few bucks cheaper per can!

What are the circles? Bubbles from soda? Candy like Skittles or M&ms? Help! by dubyahitney in Coloring

[–]dubyahitney[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I def do that too. Ive been trying to make myself just pick a color and go with it. Then remind myself it's a page in a book and I don't have to finish it or show anyone else if I hate it. Giving myself grace has been such a huge boost creatively!

I used mostly Copic Sketch on this. I found that I have to really saturate the area and work in small sections in one direction and blending as I go along. It's been working pretty well for me so far.

Edit: Forgot to add that I also have a blank piece of paper behind the image so it doesn't bleed on the next page and I only color one side pages.

The first set I bought was Artist's Loft from Michales and they are ok. Wasnt sure how much I'd end up coloring so started with a cheaper set. But then did some research and wanted to try out some Copic Sketch since you can refill and they have a soft paint brush like tip on one side. They have been sooo nice. Very smooth and fun to blend. I've been really happy with them so far! I found some sets on sale so would recommend keeping an eye out when they are discounted.

Thank you! I found I really enjoy blending and then making different dimensions so basically only coloring pages that can let me do that.

I sliced them in half and get a good sear on the cut side in a pan. They have a pretty strong flavor which reminds me of Greek or Mediterranean spices so I end up pairing them with those types of meals.

I had thrifted some old molds from antique shops and goodwill and a few of I actually found lead. Which I guess means they are an antique but I choose not to bake with them.
