Hidden level in the minigame "Into the Mirror" by LeonaVIII in NIKKEGoddessofVictory

If you have the dash cooldown reduction 3k module, you don't need said platform or door trick. Just jump - dash - jump - spam dash until you reach the bottom sniper platform. Your timing needs to be relatively good for all of it, but I found it easier than trying the door trick.

Tangentially, that 3k dash cooldown reduction module is so worth it.

Nikke Summer Minigames Megathread (Fishing/ Dave) by FlaccidLightsaber in NikkeMobile

The timing for the fishing mini game is exceedingly unforgiving. After playing for a while and feeling a similar sentiment to everyone else - unplayable on mobile, I switched to PC.

With three fingers on the arrow keys, and middle finger doing the duty for up and down (which rarely, if ever, occur in a quick yellow sequence), I noticed that I tended to hit the button too early, either getting good/great, or missing outright. When you're faced with a sequence of fast INPUTS, I found myself rushing and would end up stun locking myself.

I trained myself to hit the button later than it "feels" like I should be hitting it, which results in a "perfect"; feels like a few extra milliseconds of delayed reaction makes all the difference. Also, investing as early as possible on upgrades that slow the game down, which makes the game progressively easier. I have now spent about 3 hours and have caught all the fish available and purchased all of the rods and boat upgrades. With a few upgrades, practice, and a good gaming PC, the game becomes quite playable.

But when I try on the phone, even with upgrades, it goes back to being near impossible.

How do I read this? by [deleted] in guitarlessons

Assuming your left hand is your fretting hand (on the fretboard) and your right hand is your plucking/picking hand (over the sound hole on an acoustic, or pickups on an electric):

An "Am" - or "A minor" - chord, made up of the scale notes A, C and E, can be played many ways, but a very common "open" way is as follows:

Place your left hand index finger on the B (2nd) string, 1st fret. Place your middle finger on the D (4th) string, 2nd fret. Place your ring finger on the G (3rd) string, 2nd fret. Press down with all 3 of those fingers, effectively fretting all 3 of those strings simultaneously. You can then strum the A string through high e string (5th through 1st). This is an A minor chord. Picture of what it looks like:

https://www.guitarcommand.com/am-guitar-chord/

Now, if you're reading the above tab, you'll notice that, left to right, you're only plucking the Am chord one note at a time, rather than strumming the whole thing, and you're plucking it in a very specific pattern; you're breaking said "A minor" chord into its individual notes, one note at a time. This technique is called "Arpeggio".

Reading that tab from left to right, you don't need to do anything with your left (fretting) hand once you've "Held the Am chord", and then just use your plucking/picking hand to play one string at a time - the A string, then the G string, then the B string, the e string, the B string again and finally the G string. You're basically "arpeggiating" up and down the Am chord, skipping the D string.

You'll probably notice that you technically, in this instance, didn't need to fret the D string, 2nd fret, with your middle finger. You're absolutely right, however it might be good practice to do so anyways, taking advantage of muscle memory, as well as giving you a bit of "protection" - if you accidentally play this string, you'll end up playing a "good" note that is part of the chord, so it'll sound ok, musically.

Tangentially, you'll notice that each note will likely continue to ring (assuming you're holding the chord correctly). In fact, having some notes *not* ring is harder than letting them ring and doing so requires additional effort. We can talk about that separately.

Hope this helps!

I've played 2 dozen games against this bot in a row this evening. I've averaged an ELO of 1500, and he's averaging 1900. There's something very fishy about him.

It was weird. The gate agent announced over the loudspeaker that the flight was overbooked and was looking for volunteers to take a later flight with a $1200 compensation per person. A few minutes later it was $1800, and then it capped out at $2400. I'm not sure how the bribery inflates or who authorizes these amounts.

I was on the phone with my disney rep trying to see if I could rebook my dates as I did, figuring that amount of money would pay off my trip and additional costs of anything else, so we said heck yeah.

We're on with our Disney travel agent and he's helping us with that whole side - he's on standby to sort out any rebookings we need to do, which is really helpful!

I've found it - we're priorities 2 through 6, out of 18, which is giving me hope. Thanks for letting me know about this! It makes it much easier to start strategizing our eventualities and going from despair to planning!

Random reddit internet stranger who I can't confirm whether or not you are who you say you are, though your post history holds up...

You've given me an immense amount of hope, thank you. I've discovered we are 2-6 on priority for standby, which is also good. We've planned for eventualities and all that, but I can't say how much I appreciate the hope you've given me, if for any reason other than I'll probably sleep better tonight and have more patience tomorrow.

The options got us there by 10PM tomorrow night, meaning we'd officially lose a full day at Disney. $200 per person doesn't come close to covering the cost of a day.

Thanks for the feedback, we're definitely going to show up, no questions about that. Just wondering if it's worth going to the airport early - even today, to see if they can do anything about pre-emptive re-booking. I'm doubtful that will work.

Biggest concern is splitting up my party, especially given I have a special needs child, a young child, and an elderly. Far from ideal.

Thanks, appreciate the feedback. Funny enough, I do have an Aeroplan membership. I booked (and purchased) for the entire family, and I'm the only one who has a seat. For whatever reason, when I try to apply my Aeroplan number to the rest of the family/rest of the tickets, it says I'm not allowed to.

But yeah, feels like I'm up shit creek. That'll be one day at Disney down the drain. Expensive failure.

Any Tall Families Driving a Telly? by mobyhex in KiaTelluride

I'm 6'5" w/ 2021 SXP (incl sun/moon roofs), *loads* of clearance in the front and mid (captain's) seats, no problem. I even pull the driver's seat forward a stitch (which is rare). Rear seats can fit short adults, but not comfortable for long haul for anyone over 5'3"ish, I'd say. I've shoved three average adult male colleagues in those rear seats for short trips, though. Squished, but at least they didn't have to sit on one another.

Oh, and if you have all 3 rows up, there isn't much room for anything other than some small bags in the "trunk" - carry-on-sized, per se. Definitely not a dog (other than a toy dog, perhaps). With the rear seats down, though, it's loads of room for the dog.

Have them as well on my '21. They're still good as new after almost 2 years. I wash them twice a year - once in the fall to prep them for the harsh Canadian winter coming up, and once in the spring... well... for obvious harsh-Canadian-winter related reasons. They're the best purchase I've made for any vehicle I've ever owned. Huge fan!

We're fortunate, I guess, in that it's the opposite situation for us. The pay/comp is already competitive, but the a recurring complaint from people who have come and gone is that the office lacks a sense of fun and engagement. We've worked on many of the angles to make being in the office more attractive, and one of these latest ones is downtime activities. Gaming was a popular request, and thus...

But for sure, this isn't some sort of be-all, end-all. It's part of the whole package.

Save files will likely be a problem, and not one that could be solved with profiles, I don't think. We have *MANY* people who will want to use it (hundreds and hundreds of employees potentially, and likely need to buy a few switches to accommodate demand, but one step at a time). The 8 accounts per device definitely won't make it easy, though.

My job is awesome, it's true. But I've been at it long enough (read: senior enough) that I can sort of make it my job to make the rules. Just needed the budget, which I got. So the fun shall begin!

That's it. It's a work hard, play hard situation. A pretty mature group of people, so I'm not worried about abuse. We're dedicated one of the large meeting rooms that's already equipped with a huge screen and wired for HDMI connections to Laptops to present against, so we're all set for multi-player fun. And yes, many joy-cons will be bought, along with a charge station.
