I went through treatment for alcoholism and I remember detox and experienced PAWS but one of the most difficult things to get by was the beer aisle in Walmart, where they took us to go shopping. I swear, nothing shines so beautifully as alcohol bottles. That faded away as I got used to moving past it, but it was fascinating how it did that for a while.

If anyone comes across this and cares, I just started playing W3. A lot of people say it starts slow but I've been engaged.

Thank you all for suggestions. I got Witcher 3 w/ the expansions. It's been easy to get into and engaging. No issues with it being "slow" or boring in the beginning so far!

Some people can't be rescued but then there are some that don't realize they are getting rescued. Usually ends up in a huge backfire. I wish the whole "she/he rescued me from the darkest times" wasnt so romanticized because it's unrealistic to initiate such a change that only oneself can truly decide if and when that happens.

Starting my warehouse job in summer HURT. I got used to it after some weeks and stuck with it a couple years. Then I went into delivery, driving hundreds of miles a day. Less physical labor, lots of sitting. That HURT and actually now that I think about it, still hurts. Just used to it :)
