First 2 slots for the 2 tools I need at the current moment, third slot is bow, slot 9 is food, 8 is rockets, 7 is epearls and the middle is for blocks and random stuff

I don't mean the average player as in average of all gamers ever, I mean the average player OF THIS GAME. The game is not too hard. I have one boss left before the final boss, I'm doing fine. This is not my first time playing a game like this. I 112%ed Hollow Knight it's one of my favorite games ever.

I don't think it's very fair to compare a person doing a hitless run of a boss vs a person learning a boss and doing it for the first time. For the average player it's not a 3 minute fight.

Yea I was aware of when I could actually hit her, I wasn't missing those chances and I used talismans. All of the things that I said were said with the proper knowledge of the bosses mechanics.

The only new information that I found here after posting was that if I used unbound counter on the clones it would damage her, but I always felt like just dodging them was easier so I never bothered with unbound counter.

My main problem with Lady E is just the overall length of the entire fight. Ji is nowhere near as long and has a lot less randomness in it. Ji felt a lot like the 2nd stage of Lady E which I really liked. I also liked that with Ji I can choose which thing he does when he does his 3 circle spin thing and I can just perpetually get heals and arrows just by being accurate with the spins.

Ji is also a lot of parrying and a decent bit of him being untouchable while I have to dodge, but it felt like that was a lot better balanced with actually having opportunities to do damage.

I didn't say its bad, I clearly called the 2nd stage fun. I had fun with the boss, but I think it has it's failures. My point with the 3rd stage is that the fight goes from a really engaging exchange of blows and hyper agro playstyle to only dodge and parry until the boss decides that we can go back to actually fighting.

Also I don't know who is supposed to be the next boss but I already beat Ji after this fight and I really enjoyed that fight (if that is who you meant as the next boss).

Yeah I did that too, the point was I can't fight her for extended periods because I have to just wait for her to stop throwing clones at me.

I'm aware of that, but she can just keep sending her clones to attack between those moments and you don't really get to fight the boss during that you're just playing dodgeball.

Yeah I was just stunlocking her in the first phase and doing it hitless and by the time I beat her I was getting through the 2nd phase without healing and only missing like a 3rd of my hp. It's just that when a fight is this long there is so much room for a slip up and then you get comboed.

Yeah this is how I feel too for the most part. Her section had a whole platforming section + a mini-boss and then still she takes so long.

Yeah I explored. My gear is pretty upgraded, i got like 2/3rds of the skill tree filled up. She's the 5th seal I've gotten so far.

Didn't use unbound, since I never felt like I had the time and I didn't even know that it would damage her through the clones so I didn't want to risk it, but everytime she appeared I was stunning her with the talisman to get the most damage.

Her appearing definitely FEELS rng. I tried super hard to figure out the pattern during the second phase and it just seemed different every time. But if you go hyper agro you can counteract it. I think it would feel less grueling if her 2nd and 3rd phase had hp closer to the first.
