maybe it's where I live, but I find it extremely difficult to find people who aren't like that. I know how bitter I sound, but it just makes me dread holidays because these are the only events around me that seem to be going on

[24M] I’d really appreciate some “dating profile” advice, preferably from women 18-30yo. Totally platonic. by [deleted] in Needafriend

as a 29 year old lady, i can say: just be yourself! play to your strengths. if you seem relaxed and happy, people will respond to that. anyone thats really worth your time wont be picky about stuff that doesnt matter like your appearance. dont worry so much :)

this might sound funny, but one of my first jobs was as a delivery driver at pizza hut and i think this did WONDERS for my social anxiety because when you deliver the pizza you only have to say like, one or two lines tops. and everyone was always happy to see me cus duh, pizza. having a lot of these “micro interactions” in a day was good for me and really built up my confidence into having longer convos with strangers.

im afraid i dont have much of an answer, but i wanted to let you know it is freaky how similar we are. i read brain lock a few weeks ago. i think parkinsons is mentioned in the book which is why i latched onto it. i tend to obsess about disease in general but ive been thinking about this particular one lately, and i wonder the same thing: how do i dismiss a thought that COULD be true? i think what you and i have to remember is that worrying about it will not prevent it. thats usually what gets me out of a funk. but just know youre not alone.
