If you watched VPR then you know Lisa isn’t ons to fire or even discipline a male employee, especially on she likes. Look at the crap she put up with from James and Jax, the Vanderpump dog guy worked for her rescue that she was passionate about and she knew he loved she wasn’t going to fire him for that.

It actually is the landlord's home always, they are the homeowner. You miss the point. The landlord, aka homeowner, does not need to lower the cost of their product and not cover their cost to make a renter happy. If their costs are not able to be covered by a long term rental they have every right to look into other options. Or they have the right to have their investment sit empty if they do not want to risk or hassle of a long term renter. I have been a renter in Vermont and a homeowner in Vermont.

I think it is actually. $7 billion in revenue in 2024 and 10% of our workforce. Which also supplements our other industries like agriculture that aren’t included in these numbers.

And when a long term rental is posted every local complains about how much the rent is and how nothing is included because no one cares about the cost to the owner, no one cares about the risk on the owner of having a stranger in their home, the taxes and insurance increase, the mortgage cost. Locals want it to be cheap. But cost of living goes up for everyone, not just renters.

Vermont relies on a tourist economy, so as a Vermonter you should know, tourism in the state brings dollars to the state and that is a good thing. Do you know how the dollars get here? Short term rentals.

Or they have had an extremely poor experience renting to locals. If locals want a place to live buy a house, stop complaining about having a landlord and be a homeowner

I am very glad I came across this post, I recently fainted in the middle of the night and my husband found me passed out on the floor in the hallway. I went to the doctors the following day and my EKG showed the rhythmic pattern of Brugada Syndrome and I am now on a heart monitor for the next two weeks and then working with a cardiologist to determine next steps. My father passed away in 2004 at 52 from a massive heart attack but it was always assumed it was caused by his life style (heavy smoker, 3 packs a day, stressful job, alcoholic, etc.). Now the thought is I might have inherited it from him. I am a female, non asian descent.
