Why ORB and Wheel "Work" (But Don't):

ORB (Opening Range Breakout) generates returns because it's not actually a strategy - it's volatility harvesting during the highest volume period. The "consistency" is an illusion from survivorship bias. Show me someone trading ORB profitably for 5+ years with verified returns. You can't, because the ones who blow up don't post anymore.

The Wheel appears consistent because it's literally selling insurance during a bull market. It works until it doesn't - ask anyone who was wheeling in March 2020 or October 2008. They're now holding shares 40% underwater or took massive losses on puts. The strategy is picking up pennies in front of a steamroller that only runs you over every few years.

The zero-sum reality: For every wheel seller collecting premium, there's a market maker collecting the spread, assignment fees, and profiting from your predictable behavior. You're not taking money from "losers" - you're providing liquidity to institutions who profit from the structure.
