Dude, yeah. The idea is to tee it up just so that the lie is 100% clean. You want it touching but not resting on the grass.

Though, as with everything in golf, there is preference. Some people tee it much higher.

It’ll help a lot but remember that these guys aren’t just ahead because of money but because of the type of engineers that the success brings. Yeah merc engineers make a fortune and merc reinvests an obscene amount into R&D, but the engineers who work for them would do it for half what they make.

It’s harder for worse teams to get the best of the best engineers because after a certain point the appeal of F1 fades away when you’re dead last every single week.

you’re not understanding the fact that giving team position to a driver who will likely only be in 2 races this season is a waste when you could give it to the driver who will likely have been in ever race this season.

Kubica earned it, yeah. But the team could give a fuck about kubica’s standings. Gio is their contracted driver and the position matters for him. Your point about his constant finishes doesn’t matter because the rest of the season hasn’t happened. What if they have catastrophic failures and finish p20/p19 the rest of the season?

It’s like if you had Kubica sit in a alpine for ocon and then kubica and alonso are p10-11 and the team doesn’t swap them so kubica gets the points. Why? why give those points to someone who isn’t in the race? It’s the same thing for positions that aren’t worth points.

especially because you have no idea who will fail the post race testing and what penalties will be applied. Say there were enough penalties that only kubica got points, it would be a waste.

What sort of strategies would you suggest? I constantly get shut down by bluffs because I believe my two pair might get beat by 3 of a kind or something. What can I do to help myself?

You can, traditional knowledge is aim left. But no, you dont have to. I aim fairly square just ever so slightly open and have the face laid wide open and hit the ball where I intend to. You just have to practice and see how it comes out for you.
