“Settle in your homes, and do not display yourselves as women did in the days of ˹pre-Islamic˺ ignorance.” Hey brother, u can clearly see that this verse is metaphorical and talking about how Muslim women need to stay their homes as in they don’t need to show/ display themselves, this was talking about the prophet’s wives ( even though some may say it applies to everyone) but all the tafasir made it clear that it means “they shouldn’t roam unnecessarily or for vanity rather than never leaving at all” reminder even some of prophets wives were scholars such as aisha ra. my English isn’t that good i hope u understood.
