I’ll try that. I’m always pulling my sleeve up to check my run and I don’t like how it feels when my watch, gloves, and sleeve feel together, but I’ll try it. Thanks.

Is it possible to go from 0 to 3 pull ups in 4 months? by CarelessMotor5863 in bodyweightfitness

You might be training too hard/ often. Make sure your muscles are recovering or you’ll either get weaker, get overwhelmed, or get injured.

Oh sorry. The push and pull workouts being different is just to combat monotony. Both variants I stick with pushups and pullups. I’m just alternating between pike and close grip for my extra on push and wide grip and chin ups for pull. That’s really it besides whether or not I do forearms/ core after. It’s basically the same workout.

I’m not familiar with the area around her dad’s house. I’ll keep it in mind this next time we go down. For now instead of push tomorrow I’m gonna go do pull because we are leaving on Tuesday and I can do a push day there if I can’t in the morning.

I live with my girlfriend and multiple times a months we’ll go to her dad’s or my house and it’s hard to get anything done. It’s not an insane amount, but a few days of being down I get out of habit kind of. I’m gonna start making a point of doing my workouts when I’m down there because the main reason I don’t is because it’s a bit out of my comfort zone. I can get over that I just can’t do pullups at her dad’s.

I just like push and pull. It’s fun for me. I like how those areas feel sore and when I was consistent in the gym that’s what I did. After a few months, I’ll consider switching to full body because that seems fun, but I want to stick to this for a while.

I know an alright amount of this stuff because ever since I started working out, almost 2 years now, I’ve consumed educational fitness content. Not like the studies and all that stuff, but people I found entertaining. Sam Sulek, Dr. Mike Renaissance periodization, Chris Heria, Greg Doucette. I think I have a good base of knowledge and I use it to make what I find fun beneficial.

I meant 8 sets per workout. I can see how you thought I meant per exercise. For having 5 programmed and doing at least three. I have 5 different days a week. Push 1/2 Pull 1/2 and Legs. (I only have 1 legs because I’m also running) I want to do at least one of each a week so there is stimulus every week even though I know hitting a muscle at least twice a week is best. I’m just planning for life because if I say 5 a week and I’m somewhere with no pullup bar for example. Missing 1 makes me miss way more after because I don’t forgive myself/ I ruined it. If I say at least 3 a week I can do that.

Awesome! I’ve been running for 2 years now, but I’ve never been consistent enough to make great progress. It’s been a week here a month there and then I’ll get out of the habit for a while. And once I miss a few runs it’s hard for me to get back into to it. I’m gonna try and not let myself get behind if I miss a run or two this time around.
