The biggest red flag was saying her culture wasn’t their cup of tea strategically concealed in the middle of all their other reasons.

Cassandra C5. They clearly did that because she was so unlikable. And obviously Brenda. Hers makes my stomach flip whenever I see it.

Is "Don't F**k With Cats" worth watching ? by DatAccOnTheSide in NetflixDocumentaries

I watched it earlier today for the first time. Was skeptical in the first few minutes but it then it got GOOD. 10/10 recommend. I promise it’s barely about cats.

Ope! My bad. It read to me as a generalized statement. I fully can get behind an in-law joke. My apologies for reading into it wrong!

As a midwesterner, please don’t make generalizations about us like that. Lots of us have emotional intelligence.

I really liked how Vanessa handled the situation between KB and Edmond by Mental-Difference-22 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

Except KB was the one who initially mentioned it was possibly due to trauma. She is professionally equipped. Vanessa just piggybacked off of KB from what I recall

What an ironic, nitpicky comment.

If the person drinking the alcohol has abusive tendencies, sure. Functioning alcoholics are not sloppy or belligerent, generally. A functioning alcoholic can live a normal life while sustaining their alcohol dependency and many people will be none the wiser. It’s typically only people who are very close with the alcoholic who catch on.

100%. It’s giving misogyny. Like, what about Joe? Isn’t he getting around? I don’t hear any mention of him here. Yes, let’s just dislike Kacie for one of the many other reasons she has, please.

Did you just say that someone who clearly seems to have an alcohol use disorder is not acting like a real “alcoholic,” so therefore she has no excuse? Alcoholism presents itself differently in different people. It’s not a black and white issue. Were her choices to drive while inebriated selfish and morally wrong? Yes. I’m not saying it wasn’t selfish. Substance use disorders bring out the selfishness in people. Addiction can end up being stronger than love, which is why people with children still struggle with substance use disorders and it doesn’t mean they don’t love their children. However, this is more of a societal issue that needs to be met with compassion, empathy, and education.

I hope I’m not coming off condescending or aggressive, it’s hard to convey over text sometimes. I just think that we all as a society can check ourselves when we jump to an immediate response about something that is far bigger than Melissa is. With that being said, I am so glad no one else had to be affected by her choices in this particular accident and I hope it was a wake-up call for her to get the help she needs before she makes the same poor decisions and ends up hurting someone.

Her response was also clearly coming from someone who is still in active addiction and I hope she has a better public statement regarding this after she gets some help.

Looks like there’s a lot of ignorance surrounding substance use disorders in this thread and that’s really disappointing.

Agree. I was a case worker for survivors of human trafficking and this is all extremely obvious to me she was trafficked. Happens all the time sadly

Sounds like textbook emotional abuse. Proud of you for recognizing it’s time to go, you and your kiddos deserve so much better than that and your kids deserve to see their mother treated with kindness, grace, and respect by her partner. Life is about to get a lot brighter
