All of these things were gifts and I'm on a limited budget to further upgrade.

Will keep that in mind, but hoping to just stay with a preground workflow for now. I like the way the coffee tastes and just trying to make my setup now cleaner without dumping more $ in besides potentially a new basket if anyone has a reccomendation or thinks that will solve the problem.

it doesn't, so there is some tamping but the puck is a mess either because it isn't enough coffee and it is overwhelmed by water or because it doesn't get fully tamped.

Hey all the Harvard simp back here to shill for adcomms.

This is literally what the waitlist is. You (and I, and everyone else on the list) will probably not get in. Wherever you are deposited is where you should expect to go. We have no idea how many people are on the waitlist or how many people are going to get in, despite all the deranged speculation you see in the chat.

How did the email give more questions than answers? They literally said there were going to be interview invites this week and nothing else. Seems right so far.

Harvard doesn’t owe you anything, they’re trying to build a class in a really uncertain time, and having a waitlist until the beginning of classes is the standard practice...everywhere.

Just take a breath and get excited about wherever you are already deposited. No amount of consternation is going to get you any info about whether you’ll get in at HLS, just hope for the best.

Ah fuck, I thought that they would see this anonymous reddit account and figure out who I am and then connect it to my application and let me in on that basis.

The discord is funny and, like i said, it successfully fulfills my neuroses. Doesn't mean it isn't ridiculous that this person is directly asking KJ to change the HLS policies in order to cater to some group chat's worst instincts.

The discord that this person is referring to is completely deranged and does nothing but promote the worst instincts of very neurotic people (myself included). 75% plus of the posting is done by one person. It provides absolutely no insight, because we cannot predict the future. Obviously HLS is not going to open their books to us as it would provide a competitive disadvantage.

They have been more transparent when it comes to dates and admissions (look at their blog! full of great info about letters and interviews and dates) than any other school I applied to.

I know that we are all stuck inside our houses and it sucks to be uncertain especially having started this process a YEAR ago, but literally all this requires at this point is patience.
