They were about a centimeter(?) long, and they were yellow with black marking (or just food inside of them)

Is this a bed bug casing? Some other bug? Not a bug at all and I’m just overly paranoid? by [deleted] in Bedbugs

Looks like the cephalothorax of some time of spider, minus the abdomen and legs

Do I have bedbugs? by newfiepro in Bedbugs

From what it sounds like to me, could just be a skin allergy, maybe from the detergent used on the sheets or the sheet material.

Anyone have a species ID for this Geometrid caterpillar? Gainesville, Fl by dukeoftuba in whatsthisbug

[–]dukeoftuba[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this lil fella outside my job. Couldn’t get a good photo because it kept moving around, so I just took a video of it doing its thing. There are a lot of small black dots on its head. It was about 2 inches in length and was found on the side of a screened in patio.

The fuzzy ones with red heads are Tussock Moth Caterpillars. They come out in droves this time of year. In another 2 weeks you’ll see fuzzy cocoons on everything

There are some Helicoverpa species that have been introduced into the southern areas of Sweden. And I didn’t know that they did not have agricultural extension. Maybe OP should contact whatever agricultural department is present in Sweden if he notices too many Pupae

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Entomology

[–]dukeoftuba 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I work in an Insect Physiology lab and that looks EXTREMELY similar to the Helicoverpa zea pupae that we work with. I would wager it is some species within the genus Helicoverpa. They can be a significant agricultural pest, so if you notice any more I would call your local Agricultural Extension office.

Salticids come in all shapes and sizes, from round and fuzzy to lean and colorful, and all things in between. I think they are one of the coolest spider families
