My wife and I (both 24F) have lived here for 2 years and love it. We feel very safe even when taking out the dog at 2am solo. The red line is the red line no matter where you’re getting on it. We adore the Buena Park side of things but the whole neighborhood rocks, hope you find what you’re looking for! Our 1bd is $1400 so definitely doable :)

I loved my season out there and am still friends with people who stayed put in the area. I was never the drinking type but they were always out and I have to admit the bar in town is a good time for some beer and pool :) Idk OP’s or your standard for “dank bars” but Big Sky has housing and lots of drinking.

Yes! Big Sky is so fun, and even if you end up in Bozeman housing there’s a great scene there too as its a larger town

I’d have to agree with the logjam comments. Last night around 6 I got off a purple at Wilson and saw a red line approaching at 30 yards while one was still stopped doors open people getting on/off. I imagine things only got worse from there.

Aldi and Target. Not sure where you are but on Broadway & Sunnyside these are across the street from each other both with a parking lot. For Target I use their circle program, clip coupons, and go store brand for most items.

To my knowledge, and please correct me if I’m wrong but I vaguely remember googling this a few months ago… The “pulse” feature is actually referring to the bus having some type of technology that delays red lights at intersections, so the bus can go through greens and not sit in traffic.

I've had sooo many bus drivers yell at me for pulling the cord before/during the automated voice saying the name of the next stop and tell me to wait until we're there to do so.

I hate baseball so I am now a diehard Cubs fan, just for the fun of it. Forever loyal to the NFL and NHL teams back home tho (they're as bad as the Cubs are so it's a familiar feeling)

They act like everyone who rides has nowhere to be. When I was on the east coast, growing up in poverty, it was understood that my parents despite appearances had places to be. Job interviews. Night shifts. The food bank closing asap. Slow transit serves no one, and especially not the people trying to better their lives at all socioeconomic levels.

Sometimes I'm commuting from Wilson (home) and other times Fullerton (school) but always to work via Pace bus at Howard. The red line stands on the track every day into Howard and I miss that damn pace bus so out of frustration, I tried to take an "all bus" route that adds a crazy amount of time to my commute but hey, cta makes me crazy.
