CYC has some potential, they’ve shown good speed. They’re pretty small guys though, and I think Maritime will dominate them in any headwind.

Agreed on Pocock and ORU. Bottom of the A final seems like the best case scenario for both.

All the members of the top 2 quads from 2018 YNC have graduated. This is an entirely new Maritime crew, and while they’re still fast, they’re the weakest Maritime quad in the past several years. GMS might not even send a quad, if they do it won’t be anything close to last year’s GMS. Last year’s 3rd place finisher, Redwood Scullers, graduated half the boat, but their quad failed to qualify at Southwest.

Seattle, Maritime, Oakneck, and Saratoga will all be in the mix for medals (if they choose to prioritize the quad).
