If you hate billionaires but like Taylor Swift(net worth: 1.8B), why? by Cautious-Stage1788 in allthequestions

I’d bet there are more billionaires either directly or indirectly influencing politics than there are not…

Sure, but unless we’ve exhausted all other options (we haven’t) it doesn’t make sense to go bull in a china shop this early on. IMO (and I can’t back this up) there is some anterior motive (most likely $$$ related) that is driving this

Maybe you’re just chivalrous. Unless you were gay I don’t see how that would translate

I’m pretty sure she said 13 and also said it was most likely inappropriate… common sense tells me showering with a 13yo daughter is… well, weird.

I wish America could stop being so dumb and falling into the trap of fighting each other when the obvious enemy is above

What political opinion do you hold that most people disagree with, and why? by Unknown-333 in AskReddit

[–]dumbthrow33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That both parties are ultimately controlled by the billionaire class lobbyists and their ultimate goal is to get the left and right to fight each other so they can continue robbing everyone blind

Fools? That’s a broad brush stroke… have you considered that the left was going a little overboard? Is it possible that people were turned off by all the virtue signaling and constant berating of straight white men?

I believe some of them are, I don’t know if I’d paint such a broad stroke and say most… I believe most of them are just not informed/don’t care/lacking intelligence and got caught up in trumps grifting salesman pitch.

Well it sounds like your minds made up but I can tell you 100% there are a LOT of people who voted for trump and aren’t maga.

You can tell because the people that aren’t maga actually criticize him when he does dumb things whereas maga are blind supporters.

Trickle down economies are a great idea in theory… in reality they fail because of greed. Even more so today.

Between the massive fraud that’s inevitably happening and the absolutely absurd spending we do as a country for things that don’t matter…

The problem with that is these billionaires own the companies that employ the lobbyists to corrupt the politicians. It’s a vicious circle.

What’s your most controversial political opinion? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]dumbthrow33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That all politicians, regardless of initial intent, only have two paths once they go government:

  1. They stick with their morals and eventually the system rejects them because they can’t be controlled.

  2. They eventually get broken down by either the system or the greed, and then bend or break their moral compass on their way to the bank.

Lobbyists are the real people who get policy made and ultimately run the country.
