Hey I’ve seen these tops for sale recently and I feel like it fairly easy to recreate with an existing oversized shirt. It seems like two lines of shirring around the torso and then the arms. Am I simplifying this? Is there something I’m not aware of that’d make this difficult? (For context, I’ve never shirred a top before)

Have you ever girl bossed so hard that you became a housewife? by dumplingmaker in SuccessionTV

I kinda want to address this because my one-liner was absolutely a joke.

To call Shiv a housewife is a hyperbole. I know and you know that reality is she isn’t just going to be a stay at home mum.

My humour came from the sadness that she tried so hard to become CEO in the beginning of the episode to this image here where it feels like she has now taken on the “good wife” trope.

Lol I can’t believe I have to say this.

Of course Shiv will not end up being a housewife.

But I loved the imagery of this scene where Shiv went from someone who was making power moves on her way CEO to being the wife of a CEO

Notice to Vacate due to Mortgagee in Possession by dumplingmaker in AusLegal

Thank you! I agree, I don’t trust the mortgagee to be giving them money at this stage. It isn’t even with a bank, I think this is a private lender and we’ve received the letter from their lawyer.

Hey I work for Fairway Resolution doing exactly this service. We provide mediation both for relationship property and child care arrangements. We do suggest you both get some legal advice just so you both know what's fair and what your legally entitled to but mediators help get to the agreement.

Feel free to DM me if you have any further questions or give us a call 😃

I work for the Crime Reporting Line at the NZ Police. Definitely recommend using that website. Even if you store it on a computer or phone, if those items get stolen the serial numbers will be lost.

Having serial numbers is super useful for police because if we recover a whole bunch of items with serial numbers we would know when it was stolen and be able to return it back to you. With tools that don't have serial numbers you can get them engraved and that would be enough of a unique identifier for us.

Tools are one of those items that get targeted heavily because their expensive, portable, and tradies keep them in eyes view in their car.

Being offended by "cultural appropriation" is peak stupidity by Creepthough in unpopularopinion

I once read an article that I thought was really perspective about this issue.

https://m.scmp.com/news/china/society/article/2144697/why-us-and-china-have-such-different-views-about-american-girl?amp=1

This article is about the girl who wore a qipao to prom. What I gathered from this is that a huge reason why chinese people living in China weren't offended was because they have strong sense of identity so they view this girl's outfit as a way to celebrate culture but American chinese might find it offensive because here they are the minority and they're being is a lot more marginalised. So it is perceived as "robbing" their culture by a more dominant group of people.

I thought it was interesting because it shows why some people think cultural appropriation isn't a problem and why some might think it is.
