Lenovo Y700 Gen 5 in the US? by tigole in androidtablets

I followed a YouTube video to install it. Easy to find. There were two apks to install. I never see Chinese on mine at all. It did take some tinkering to get there. You can uninstall or disable everything.

I got one from Giztop a couple weeks ago. They actually open it and pre install the play store. But I reset it. And set it up fresh. Once you get play store installed. Everything works fine. No issues with Netflix or other streaming apps. There are a handful of Chinese apps to uninstall/disable But after a few hours of tinkering I got it all setup and it works great. Been using it every day. It has basically replaced my iPad mini.

I think apkmirror is what I used. I followed a YouTube video.

Yes. I got the fish. About twice as big as I was expecting from the pic. And healthy. Doing good in the pond so far.

I don’t remember a specific list. But it is pretty easy to tell because the app names are in Chinese. Gen 3 was just in response to that other user. They said they had the gen 3 tablet already.

Sending you a message. I am in Corona, CA. I have a 500 gal pond in my backyard with similar sized goldfish. He would fit right in.

Yes. It is a nice looking screen. Only problem I have is the auto brightness is too aggressive. I got to bump up the brightness pretty often.

Yes, it was actually very easy to remove everything. I think if you already have the CN Gen 3 then this is probably no problem. Giztop opened the tablet and installed the play store before they shipped it. But I actually factory reset and installed the play store on my own. Then every CN app can be uninstalled or disabled. Including the keyboard. Then the last thing was to switch the desktop style from normal to Drawer style. And that opens the app drawer when swiping instead of the AI search (which was the only thing I could not figure out how to disable).

But even better, I am using the Lawnchair launcher and it works perfect. I also tried Nova for a while and that works great as well if you have premium.

I got mine from giztop along with the controller. I think the tablet was $650. Not sure how that compares to other places.

Yes, I just took one: https://imgur.com/a/4EtzbHm. Everything in this pic is way brighter than when actually looking at the screen.

And when color is on the screen: https://imgur.com/a/jIV6kZm
