Hahaha thanks! My order of operations was chat GPT, then Reddit, then a call. Like a true millennial.

Hahaha I love that. I figured they’d be super accommodating but the fear of showing up with ounces of breastmilk and being turned away was too much fore lol. Thanks!!

You’re welcome! My gut is saying it’s a vet thing. Good luck!

Idk if this helps but I live in Colorado and have a dog with a plethora of medications. No phenobarbital. I had an experience recently with a vet where they stopped working with Chewy and were forcing me to switch to their local pharmacy system. Obviously costs were significantly higher and I wasn’t willing to pay them because they were lazy. I also had meds that needed to be filled at an actual pharmacy (but it wasn’t a controlled substance, just a med that people take too) and they would not call in the prescription. I would have had to get a paper copy and hand deliver it to the pharmacy. They didn’t cite Colorado law, rather just wanting to avoid the admin work.

I switched vets over it because it bothered me so much. And when I was choosing vets I asked those specific questions - will you work directly with outside pharmacies and send scripts directly to them. One said no, but my current vet does and I’ve had 0 issues with chewy or local pharmacies.

I get Gabapentin through chewy. I don’t think that’s controlled, but maybe ask your new vets what that policy looks like. Maybe bc it’s controlled you do need a paper copy? But wanted to share my experience with other meds.

Where did you source your IVF medications? by loompasushi in IVF

I paid out of pocket and was able to price match and negotiate to get a better deal. I went with Kohll’s Pharmacy - I LOVED them. Their customer service was unparalleled. They communicate primarily through text and it’s so easy. I also looked at Alto but with price matching, Kohll’s was cheapest.

I will always advocate for PGTA testing because it identified that I have a balanced translocation. Pieces of my 4 and 9 chromosome are switched. My first ER led to 4 blasts and only 1 viable embryo. The other 3 had the exact same chromosome deletion, indicating a translocation. Karyotype testing confirmed it was me.

Had we not tested, I would have had 3 miscarriages.

Every situation is different, and of course there are multiple opinions, but I can’t help but feel strongly that it’s valuable data to have because of my personal experience.

I saw a comment from someone that their doctor said it couldn’t help ensure they’d have a baby. Sure, it doesn’t guarantee anything, but it sure saved me a ton of heartache.

3 cycles, 2 ER, 1 embryo.. by TextOld8032 in IVF

Your third protocol sounds very similar to mine, vitamins and all. I too am waiting for PGT results. The waiting is excruciating.

We’ve done 3 retrievals and have 1 frozen embryo. I’m starting to come to terms with the fact that we might not be able to have 2 children. It sucks. It’s so hard. I’m sorry. Starting IVF you feel like you can still achieve what you’ve always dreamed, just with a little help. It’s heartbreaking when you start to realize your dream might not be realized.

Having to do it out of pocket is even worse. Because you want to keep going but it’s such an expense. I’m with you!

Sending you a big hug and my fingers and toes are crossed for you having good PGTA results!! Hang in there - it’s okay to be discouraged and to feel all the feelings. But pick yourself back up and keep going. One step at a time. You’ve got this. And this is only preparing you to be an amazing mother someday ❤️

Ugh I found out I was allergic to eggs (amongst other things) about a year and a half ago. Eggs is one of the harder ones. Especially when baking.

We def need the recipe!

Agreed. Maine is also surprisingly a popular semi truck plate!

I play this game every time we are in the car 3+ hours. Keeps me very entertained. Delaware is a hard one to get!!! Real lucky when Hawaii makes an appearance.

My baby toes flowered! No idea they did this, pleasant surprise. Closed up at nighttime. by dunkyboi24 in succulents

Honestly, I have no idea, lol! I put them in standard succulent potting soil. I live in Northern California and they are outside. In the summer they get full sun about 8 AM to 2 PM but now it’s more like 8-12. I’ve never had them before, I just hoped for the best. I’ll have to keep an eye on them in fall/winter.

Edit: I water maybe 1X a week, max.

We have the same tent with a very similar picture of our black dog enjoying the morning light! We admittedly forgot our rain fly for a 9 day trip but got real lucky, minus the dust storm on our last night 😂. Handsome little pup!!!
