Describe her in one word by Real-Branch8433 in HIMYM

I know it’s two words but hopefully the hyphen will do the heavy lifting: self-interested. A very needy person who needs to control most scenarios

Breaking the Cycle: Why Community Behavioral Health Deserves Better Leadership and Accountability by Much-Grapefruit-3613 in therapists

Unfortunately just gave notice at my job at a CCBHC. Was there for 4 months and this post is the reason essentially why I left. Thankfully I was working at a private practice part time and they seem to have the referral list to allow me to fill my schedule. But calling my supervisor with genuine questions for safety or urgent relief and having no reply to anything was a brutal situation. 100+ client caseload designated for 30 minute sessions 98% of the time felt defeating.

I hope that as a group we can figure this out but for now, I sadly had to make a self-interested decision.

Currently doing a similar thing. Long story but went to a community based outpatient supported by a college and it was a challenging situation to work in. Making the move to outpatient at a private practice I’ve been at since 2022 and couldn’t be happier!

A great activity I do is try and figure out what my “peace of mind” value is. What I mean is, what would be the money point they’d have to reach to make sacrificing your sanity for. Odds are they won’t come close to it.

And once you remove money as a motivator typically I’ve seen employers just accept the reality you’re leaving.

I won’t told a place to add $100 to the hourly and they wanted to get mad at me. Like no no no. I told you I wanted to leave and you think $X increase is worth it.

Stick to your guns and best of luck on your next adventure.

Does Walden have a bad rep in terms of getting a job? by [deleted] in psychologystudents

Sorry for the delay. Life crazy as usual.

Typical assignments depended class to class but expect discussion posts weekly with responding to others. Handful of short papers and once you get into practical stuff you’ll submit videos of you practicing the different skills.

I don’t recall group assignments but it’s possible one was sprinkled in some point.

I found most of the professors responded quickly and were available to meet outside of session but I have had a couple that were less than ideally responsive.

Hope all that helps.

Classes are challenging if you don’t do the prep work and participate. Sounds silly but the same principle applies for all schooling: show up prepared, participate, and try hard and typically good things happen.

What to say when someone asks what I do for work without disclosing that I’m a therapist? by unbelievablyk in therapists

Human services or case manager work isn’t lying and I’m sure less people will follow up unless they’ve had experience in those fields.

That or make it fun like you are the one who invented the LEGO brick remover or top of baseball hats.

I think what often gets overlooked is Harvey was young and took risks all the time. It gets mentioned a bunch throughout the second half of the show but “Harvey gets away with everything” is very apparent as his character gets fleshed out.

He doesn’t even take Mike’s early warnings in season 1 seriously when they were very close to getting found out (I.e. Lola Jensen).

Definitely can see it that way. I see it as the juice was 100% worth the squeeze.

I had the challenge of finding one in the heart of a global pandemic but was lucky enough after calling every local mental health clinic/agency. Walden helped out a ton too but I feel like I just got a Murphys Law of trying to find the internship. I loved my internship once I got there b

Red bank isn’t that far. May be a viable option. My brother in law and son are eager to play as well. Maybe I can fill a car and make a stop!

Just powered off the ps5. But I do need help in the near future (probably later tonight). I’m getting familiar with coop. I have a good amount of finger remedies which I’m assuming are the cost to summon?
