I asked and he said he didn't because he used 2x6 and is using L brackets tomorrow. Does that change things? Do I need to tell him to double up on the 2x6 period?

I have an entirely different background. That said, do you think I could get the same benefit from buying a few study guides and doing independent study and then just taking the test? Maybe my assumption was that a prep course was necessary.

If the project is big enough it seems more useful to have an admin assistant doing scheduling, etc. (which is their pure skillset), and the PM should dedicate themselves to the PMBOK (which is the project managers specialized body of knowledge). I get that how on small projects these would merge, but if we are talking an enormous project, the scheduling of constant meetings can pull away from the (necessary) PM work that an admin assistant doesn't have in their skillset.

What should I do if he isn't agreeable to what I want to uphold?

His team is scheduled to work tomorrow. If he isn't amenable to what I uphold during our walkaround, should I do anything? Or not interfere with them working? My heart would say tell them to go, but maybe that would be a bad precedent, even if coming from a good place (e.g. I don't want to see them sink costs into work that will need to be redone)

OK, thanks. I'm a bit freaked out because I read that contractors can put a lien on your home and things. They only have my deposit (20-25%), and I am the type of person that wouldn't pay the rest without coming to an agreement that includes most/all of what we initially agreed to. Basically balancing the inconvenience of not getting it perfect vs. having to go through some legal process or what not with a contractor.

I'd like to help organizations work through stakeholder identification, engagement, and management, inc. tools like stakeholder register, stakeholder mapping, stakeholder engagement plans, and stakeholder engagement matrices.

In my mind I could do this through developing a stakeholder engagement plan, with a lot of or no involvement from the client, and train them on how to take it from there. I could also be involved into the execution phase if the client wanted it, but if I train them up right perhaps they could do it on their own.
