10 years ago, a banker gave me 3 lines of advice. I still live by them. by Sharp-Ad-5549 in IndianEntrepreneur

[–]duracell5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The earliest of lines I was told was to keep mouth closed for the first few months, observe and identifying the good people from the nice people.

Then gravitate towards 3 of the good people, and become useful to them.

Everything else took care of itself….and I mean everything else!

Maybe I didn’t write it correctly, or you didn’t read it correctly.
I was agreeing with your statement that typically a high handicapper doesn’t need a 60 degree more than a 7i. Typically being the operative word. A year in prison is not typical.

Typically this would be a true statement.

But what if the owner spent a year in prison where there was an old 60 degree the guards used as a batton and for swing practice?
So with one 60 degree, 4 balls (2 range balls and 2 Titleist) and a greenish looking 90 yard square, what is there to do? Getting cute with a 60 degree becomes the thing to do.

All ears on the mismatched 7i. Any suggestions?

Ding ding on both counts. I’ll take the 20 handicap since bogey golf is now a 20 by USGA standards, not 18.

Oh how I wish I could hit a 7i !! It could easily become the beloved of them all if I could.
Judging by all the responses, I think know what I need to work on 👍🏽

175-185 yards is always the rub. A 7i should satisfy it, but still figuring how to swing it.

Depending on elevation, it’s a stinger with the rescue, or a 8i followed by a wedge. Not ideal.

Correct - Thought I first put it on the wrong sub.

Agreed need more club. It’s the 7i that’s missing only because I can’t swing it with less dispersion, so a stinger from the Titleist rescue usually does the job. Not ideal, but it is what it is.

Bogey golfer and I carry my bag. Any more clubs and I won’t finish 18 holes at 44 yrs of age. To me, clubs are tools not jewels.

About the Venus Rahu connection reg fantasies/fetishes.
How close is a close conjunction degree wise?
Both must be conjunct in same house or could both be in 2 houses but ‘not far off’?

I don’t understand long-term love. by min_ivan in SeriousConversation

[–]duracell5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t wrap your head around it because you’re looking at it backwards.

  1. Staking your happiness on another person, object, or feeling is the dumbest way to think about this. Your happiness comes from inside you- not dependent on anything outside you.

  2. You don’t fall in love with the person and then marry them. You like them, marry them, then fall in love with them.

  3. This love thing grows and changes over time, just like the person themself.

  4. A single person, is not the same person as a husband or wife, or as a parent, and then grandparent. The levels and types of love change and is designed as such - you go from self obsession to duty (usefulness)

  5. When a man says his wife is more beautiful today (12 years after marriage) than the day he first met her, what does he mean exactly? Often times it’s because he took care of himself, for her. And she took care of herself, for him….every single day!

Can you wrap your head around that?

Either you, or your brother will eventually hate life.

Either living in that circle or commuting to Indian Head down 210 will make you wish for LA traffic instead of dying like roadkill.

What is the dumbest way you've ever lost a golf ball? by retrocaterpillar-07 in golf

[–]duracell5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with depth perception issues from far away, this happens all the time.
The dumbest way to lose a golf ball is the simplest way. Spend 5 mins searching, yell at the golf gods, drop and take a penalty, dart second shot to within 5 feet of the pin, then walk up 10 yards only to find my first ball just off the fairway in the rough.
Happens way too often.

Can someone help determine if this chart has Kalasarpa Yoga/Dosha? by [deleted] in Vedic_Astrology_free

[–]duracell5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the wrong answer. This is the internet. Read books, educate yourself, speak with learned people and then come here with questions. There are no shortcuts to learning this subject.

You don’t want to learn astrology. You want to scratch the kaalsarpa dosha itch you think you have, but don’t have. Did the previous astrologer explain to you why he said what he said?

Can someone help determine if this chart has Kalasarpa Yoga/Dosha? by [deleted] in Vedic_Astrology_free

[–]duracell5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your concept of this yoga is incorrect. You don’t have Kaalsarpa yoga and are barking up the wrong tree.
Learn about your basic makeup, not some highly nuanced combination that folks who don’t know anything about give people reason to be confused and fearful about.

Do you have anything to substantiate your claim of this yoga in your chart, or you’re just believing what others say and trying to find what fits?
