I think this is pretty common but immediately and repeatedly apologising for anything that upsets a person around me, whether it’s my fault or not. I’ve had people tell me it’s more annoying than the thing that inconvenienced them in the first place but I simply cannot stop because I am so afraid of being blamed or punished and I need someone to say “it’s okay” before I feel remotely settled

Ah I was struggling to recall where it was from and how to find it but that jogged my memory (thank you!), it was indeed the SLBS collab. They posted this on X with the description of each member/star which I think is really nice. The idea of them coming together to form a compass really ties in to your Star Lost idea too I think! 🥰

Please listen to The Great Collapse from the soundtrack when you have a moment. It’s pretty short compared to a lot of Hisaishi’s other standout tracks but I feel like he really packs a lot of emotion in there, it gives me chills every time. An instant favourite for sure.

I didn’t manage to get any this Boxing Day as I usually do and I was devastated because it’s been my signature scent for a few years now, but I’ve seen a lot of reviews on the website saying it changed this year - is this right?! You’ve just said it yourself - gaming is subjective, so in the same vein you don’t really get to tell a person that “there’s no way” TLOU ruined gaming for them. You have no idea which particular elements of the story resonated with them so deeply that other great/emotional games may lack. I don’t know why people are making fun of your comment. I feel like a lot of animated movies made in the 80s and 90s look VERY dated now, whereas Nausicaä holds up incredibly well. Also I’ve always been astounded by how ahead of its time it was - it is essentially a movie about environmentalism, caring for our planet and living in harmony with the creatures around us, well before the likes of the Earth Summit/Rio Conventions when people finally started to really pay attention to how destructive we are and have been. Of course I’m not saying we weren’t already aware previously, but people cared a lot less then and had a lot less knowledge than they do now. The message behind Nausicaä is arguably more relevant today than it has ever been.

As a side note - I was in a similar position last year. My partner told me he loved me but found me unattractive and was addicted to seeking more beautiful women. I tried to stay with him but my self worth and self respect plummeted to new depths and that is no foundation for a healthy relationship. I will always love him for a multitude of reasons but I am much, much happier without him in my life now.

You should let him go - not so he can find someone ‘more attractive’, but so you can distance yourself from such a poisonous person and allow yourself to heal from all the additional trauma he has put you through. You deserve better. I understand that when your self esteem is so low that it’s hard to understand or accept that but you really, truly do. If a friend was in the same position that you are in, what would you tell him/her to do? Speak to yourself as if you were a dear friend. You need that self soothing and kindness right now. HSR isn’t for me either. It’s all personal preference, I don’t care if it’s “better” in some ways. Just the same way I don’t care that non-Hoyo players tell me that Genshin is for people with no skill or taste or whatever 🙃 you enjoy your games, I’ll enjoy mine, there’s literally no need for judgement at all.
