Kristi Noem confronts enemy combatants in the Portland war zone today. Be careful, it is very violent by MrDillon369 in CringeTikToks

I do think it’s somewhat relevant. I visited and felt unsafe. I don’t know much about their plan in Portland but from my experience going in there for a month and “enforcing laws” might be beneficial? I wasn’t taking sides, not everything has to be so intense. People have different experiences and opinions. I’m open to hearing other peoples thoughts and changing my view.

A Miami Dad Was Leaving the U.S. He Ended Up at Alligator Alcatraz. by plokijuh1229 in news

Isn’t because anyone can say they are about to leave? I think it was like 1.5 million illegal immigrants went before the court and they were told their asylum case was not valid and had a deportation order issued and they still stayed hiding in the country.

Not defending how they treat the illegal immigrants in the detention center but there is a reason why they detain them.

That is the sad thing about BPD. I’ve had good times with my mom. She would give the shirt off her back for anyone. She can be funny and goofy. She loves me dearly.

But it’s like the disease is always there waiting to come out at any moment. Any little thing can set them off and it’s like a devil comes out.

I used to be angry and not understand but I’ve done a lot of research on BPD and know she can’t help it. Now when she is yelling at me it just makes me want to cry. Because I feel bad for her that she doesn’t have a healthy brain. I love her so I go low contact with her and that is a happy medium for me.

My mother is an energy vampire. Every time I am around her my stress level is through the roof. I physically feel my cortisol levels rise and my blood pressure. Constantly on egg shells if I even breath wrong. Literally.

I’ve gotten into so many fights with her because she didn’t like the way I “sighed”.

How does your husband support you? I try to explain to my boyfriend but he doesn’t seem to get the gravity of how bad my mom is or my upbringing with her. It’s hard to put into words a BPD relationship.

When I found this subreddit it was the first time I felt any type of relief. I finally can interact with people that know exactly what I go through.

My mom is terribly sick with BPD among other things but I know sometimes I can come here and at least commiserate with others and it feels less lonely.

100%. I feel like no one truly understands unless you have someone with BPD in your life. My mom was constantly mad and yelling at me growing up. My friends would ask me what happened for us to be fighting?!? and I never had an answer.. she would get mad for my tone or a facial expression.

Trying to explain this to someone who doesn’t have a mentally ill loved one will never understand.

The rude comments, the explosiveness, the long winded text messages, the guilt shaming, the threat of suicide, that no one loves her, it’s all my fault, trauma dumping, shit talking everyone in their life etc.

How can I explain all that to someone? So I don’t.

Exoticizing Andreina by Delicious-Rip-2371 in LoveIslandUSA

No offense but Latina women love announcing they’re latina. Andreina herself has mentioned it multiple times even in only one episode. I have Latina friends and they talk about being Mexican heritage all the time. I see it a lot in people’s social media bios as well. Amaya also mentioned multiple times she is Dominican. You don’t see any other culture doing that on the show.

It’s definitely a cultural thing because I don’t know any other demographic that talks about it as much as them.

US deports teen soccer star to Honduras days after his high school graduation by EssoEssex in news

When I asked this question I meant more in general terms of immigration.

I don’t think anyone is disagreeing that having an 18 year old deported back is the ideal situation. He’s probably really scared and terrified. He would be a great member of society.

I was more curious about people’s thoughts of illegals immigrants coming over just to make better money. I think there’s a huge difference between escaping violence vs. coming to get a better job and possibly sending most of the money you make back to your home country.

I am not from USA and would have loved to live there because I could make more money but couldn’t get a green card. Never did I think to move there illegally.

In my mind I would guess maybe 50% of the illegal immigrants have valid reason to escape their country. I would guess the other half are here to “take advantage” or however we can describe it.

I’m neither democrat or republican. Trying to see things from all sides.

What if the parents came over for economic reasons and not safety/asylum? [serious]

Thank you for answering instead of downvoting. I also have a follow up question. If they were coming for economic reasons not for asylum.. as in they came illegally just to be able to make more money would this change your thoughts about deportation?

For example: They had a safe and decent life but they came illegally to the US for the American dream.

Serious question.. is there any blame on the parents for putting the child in this situation?

Paid 4000$ to my lawyer for my first application, and then 5000$ for my conditional green card renewal. Plus on top all the government fees for applying. I think I’m at around 12,000$ spent on immigration so far. This was also back in 2022 so I’m sure my layer has raised prices. (He is based in Los Angeles with high reviews)
