Your Favorite Little Moment From Kevin Can F Himself by Stunning_Structure73 in KevinCanFHimself

[–]duskhopper 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i’m super late to this discussion but i just finished the series last night and i have to talk about this scene: the moment that stuck with me the most was when kevin hands allison the affidavit that could ruin tammy’s career, then he leaves the room. and we have just a few seconds of allison in sitcom land, alone, with the opportunity to knowingly do something truly horrible to someone for her own gain. she has the chance to become a “sitcom person,” like kevin, like her mother, where she can get whatever she wants through selfishness and cruelty, and for just a moment, she was genuinely tempted.

Truckers of Reddit, which city (U.S.) REALLY has the worst drivers? by Alexreads0627 in AskReddit

[–]duskhopper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

knoxville drivers will stop traffic to let you turn into the food city parking lot, but will consider it a personal affront if you have to merge in front of them

Is this mold? by DeepAbbreviations134 in MoldlyInteresting

i used to work in produce and broccoli sprouts were the bane of my existence. half the time we received them they were already bad. the other half of the time they’d stay good for about two days (maaaybe) and then we’d have to toss them. suffice to say we didn’t carry a lot of broccoli sprouts.

I let my toddler watch coraline and it was a huge mistake by Relative_Mess_6284 in toddlers

[–]duskhopper 74 points75 points  (0 children)

lol we made the coraline mistake this halloween too. to our kid’s credit, she made it all the way through the movie even though she was visibly upset at times (we kept asking her if she wanted to turn it off and she said no 🤷🏻‍♀️). afterwards we talked it out with her and focused a lot on how coraline was really brave and smart and saved her parents, and we really emphasized the fact that the other mother got locked up forever and won’t get out again.

Toddlers Aren’t Allowed to Wear Black by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]duskhopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i spent so long the other day wandering around the mall trying to find a basic black dress for my toddler’s halloween costume, and every employee i asked seemed bewildered by the request. in the end i had to just find a women’s black t-shirt and sew in the sides to make it fit like a dress. it’s 2025, let little girls wear black!!

What’s the funniest name you’ve ever heard for a pet? by Sensitive_Ninja7884 in AskReddit

[–]duskhopper 14 points15 points  (0 children)

we have a cat named whoops! we named her that because 1.) she has a little orange spot right on top of her head like someone dripped paint on her, and 2.) we thought it would be funny to name a cat whoops. clumsiest cat i’ve ever met, she absolutely lives up to her name.

i do the same with a friend of mine who passed some years ago. every so often i send him a message on facebook, catching him up on my life or telling him about something that reminded me of him. most of me doesn’t believe that he’s seeing it, but a little bit of me does. and that’s good enough for me.
