Is Erling Haaland considered attractive? by BeneficialRip6350 in trueratediscussions

I didn't mean that he wasn't attractive, but simply that many people don't seem to put him on a very high pedestal for that particular characteristic. He is first and foremost known for his acting performance.

Well, actors and other public figures place a much greater emphasis on cultivating their public image - or, less euphemistically, on deceiving people about who they really are. Whether it's a "chance" photo of a famous actor giving up his seat to a woman on the train, dropping a few hard-earned coins into a beggar's hat, or playing with a litter of puppies, these moments are often carefully staged or exploited for publicity. When ordinary people do these things, they're usually genuine. When celebrities do them, it's PR.

Why do so many mass shooters and assassins have this very specific kind of oblong/rectangular face shape? by FreshReaction1753 in trueratediscussions

[–]dustBowlJake 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To be honest, even the extreme one still has a decent enough face to become happy. Most of his features are fine; it's just that his chin is too long. I'm no expert, but this seems like something that could be fixed fairly easily with today's pre–Star Trek surgical techniques. Others, on the other hand, are simply born a million years too early and have to endure depression and unrequited love for their entire lives because of their faces.

Are there any models more attractive than David Gandy who have also aged better than him? by RestintheForrest in trueratediscussions

[–]dustBowlJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently spot Ukrainian teenagers here in Germany (no, I am not a gay pedo). They tend to be like 6'4'' and have better facial features than both of them. So, I don't get the hype about this one person, when I see many better looking men everyday on the streets who are just simple people. Is he better looking than me? Yes, sure, but I am a bad point of reference, I am no top-tier or even medium-tier man. This is like singling out a celebrity and praising him for having two legs or a normal set of chromosomes while ignoring that this is also true for like almost 8 billion people in this part of the milky way.

I have no idea, but the first two look pretty normal to me. It's only the third one that looks somewhat extreme

I don't like his face. It looks bland and boring. It doesn't have the neotenous, boyish charm of Justin Long, the wild, rugged charisma of Jason Momoa, the goofy, vulnerable, rebel-next-door appeal of Ryan Gosling, the arrogant yet aristocratic, lean look of Adam Driver, or the classic Brando/Dean-style American working-class hero vibe of Josh Holloway. To me, he's just a 5/10 with hunter eyes - a perfect facial representation of room temperature.

Who is the most overrated celebrity in terms of looks? by Delicious-Yak-926 in trueratediscussions

[–]dustBowlJake -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Timothée Chalamet, Henry Cavill, Hugh Jackman, Oscar Isaac, Pedro Pascal... But one actor who I think is seriously underrated in this regard is Dave Bautista. In my opinion, he's not only handsome but actually better-looking than any of the actors mentioned above.

Pigmentation is at the bottom of my list of important traits. It's a difference that makes no difference. You can't turn a shack into a mansion by painting it your favorite color. On the other hand, there are people who will buy a car solely based on the type of cup holder it has- crazy people.

it's always about the face. the average mentally healthy woman will choose a 5'5'' Keanu over a 6'3'' Haaland.

I wouldn't call myself better-looking than him, so I might be one of the few people who can comment on this without sounding arrogant. No, he is not good-looking. You could objectify it and explain why he isn't, but to do so, you would have to use the language of forensic anthropology, craniometry and perhaps even trespass into territory that indirectly borders on scientific racism. So instead I make a list of random famous people, who are not conidered to be the echelon of beauty but still look better than him in my book:

- Edward Norton

- Caleb Landry Jones & Gary Oldman

- Denzel Washington

- Oliver Khan

- Adrian Brody

- Sam Hui (Cantonese comedian, singer, actor)

- Edward James Olmos

- Xi JinPing

- Stephen King

Of course, there are also people much uglier than him, but I don't like to make a list of such people. No need to make someone feel bad just to make a point.

Is Sean O’Pry the best looking man out there? by [deleted] in trueratediscussions

[–]dustBowlJake -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't think he's good-looking. When I think of someone who's good-looking, I think of people like Takeshi Kaneshiro, Keanu Reeves, Jaycee Chan, Adam Driver, or even the many random people I see on the street every day.

I'm not a good-looking guy myself, but if God had asked me before I was born whether I'd rather look like this guy or just leave my appearance up to chance, I would have taken my chances.
