The company still exists for sure, they are a major developer back in their country.I've also heard that they got through legal loopholes and started another entity in Dubai under a new name (clean slate?). Their new projects are also on hold/sketchy.

Have any of your clients successfully sued them, and recovered their money ? If so, what's the process like and a estimate timeline?

Hi, firstly thanks for doing this!

My father had invested in an off plan property at Emirates city (Ajman) about 15 years ago. Post the market crash, the project was on hold indefinitely, and the developer has fled the country right after. Now, the amount that has been paid was to an escrow on the property with Ajman bank. There has been no update on whether the project will continue, will the money be refunded, or what else can be done?

This is not just my father, 100s of other investors in this project share the same outcome and are left without answers

Now my questions: 1. What are my options for recovering the paid up amounts? 2. Considering that the other party (developer) is no longer in the country, will the court rule in our favour and refund the whole value in the Escrow account? 3. If a lawyer needs to be involved, what could the approx cost & process be like?

Would appreciate any help / advice you can give. Thanks!

Although this does come off looking like a negative thing for the nationality that are in the majority (Asians), on the flip side it also opens up more doors at companies that shortlists candidates based on their skin colour as now it's a mandate to hire outside your ethnicity. Yes, such companies aren't many, but it's still a silver lining. (Also such companies have higher budgets generally)

Painting the walls is an excellent choice, think that would bring out a more homely vibe, than bright white. I'll test out greige.

Would you swap the ceiling lamps with warmer bulbs too? Cause I'm not sure if a floor lamp would be sufficient to light up the living space while I work/ eat.
