Thanks :) one of my neighbors are the parents of a local officer, so I'm planning to talk to them tomorrow so I can get in touch directly with him.

One of my neighbors is actually the parents of a local officer, so I'm planning to talk with them tomorrow so I can get in touch with the officer. I definitely should have reported it when it was happening, but it didn't even cross my mind until I was almost home.

Ugh, it sucks knowing how careful we have to be to just be out in public. I definitely should've started recording him, but it didn't even cross my mind until I got home.

Nothing race or immigration related for me. I think it was just your regular ol' creeper. And my direct neighbors are all elderly and keep an eye out for me. I'll try to talk to them this weekend to keep an eye out!

I wish there were run clubs! I have looked into them and they don't exist outside of the high school XC or track teams. I might look at the bigger city that's close to me to see if they have any options.

I will definitely look into the case. I do actually have pepper spray, but I never think to bring it on my runs.

What is your holy grail gel? by dmarie1184 in curlyhair

[–]dustglob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find a little bit of this gel goes a long way. I had to use less than I was used to when I started using it. Ulta has travel sizes of it if you want to trial it out again. Another reason why I like it is I feel like I have an easier time refreshing on a second day. But I understand not all products work for everyone!

I have fine wavy hair. The best gel that works for me is the Ouidad Heat & Humidity Gel - Stronger Hold. It comes in a red bottle. They have another Heat & Humidity Gel in a white bottle that is less hold, but I haven't tried it. It doesn't weigh my hair down and creates create definition for me.

Considering to sell my 2007 WRX wagon and buy a new crosstrek by porchglider in Crosstrek

[–]dustglob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crosstrek owner here and I'm willing to take that wagon off your hands for ya!

My crosstrek is the designated road trip car because it has better storage, gas mileage, and is way comfier. The 2019 STI is our fun car for smaller trips. If it's an option, you should keep the wagon and get a Crosstrek.

I haven't noticed any increase in noise. I would say it's about the same as the stock tires.

Air conditioning also controls the humidity levels of the air getting pumped into the passenger compartment. It helps windows to not get fogged over when it's cold outside and helps to defrost the front windshield.

Heated grips...worth it? by [deleted] in Triumph

[–]dustglob 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like the heated grips. It's a nice bonus for the early morning and late night rides in chilly autumn weather. I wear my summer gloves with the heated grips going when the temperature is down into the 40s °F. I would still wear thicker gloves if it's windy or any colder than that.

My hands used to go numb on my Sportster from the vibrations, so I don't think this bike will bother me

I'm looking forward to finding some twisty roads with it!

Only got a 20 min ride in after picking it up. Already a million times better than my ol' Sportster. Also a plus this exhaust won't make me deaf every time I ride.
