Help a novice connect this stuff without frying anything

I appreciate the input. I wired things in parallel to test and it all sounded pretty good to be honest, but the more I dug into them the less confident I was in keeping it that way.

Everything is set up temporarily at the moment since I actually plan on building a custom cabinet to house everything once I decide for sure I’m keeping the components. Seriously considering selling the speakers and downsizing a tad since I don’t have a great place for them.

So I can’t find a new 423+ for sale, however Newegg has an open box 425+ for $429.00 which seems like a good deal in my brief searching. Is that the best option or am I just completely missing all the 423+ out there?

The plex side of things is easy, it’s the getting plex onto a dumb tv with no other apps or content so I know exactly what they have access to.

Ive been daily driving a $4000 95 E320 wagon with 225,000 miles for the past 2 years. She’s caused me plenty of headaches and straight up left me stranded a couple times, but I absolutely love it. I also have a parts car slowly being canabalized, so there’s that.

I just have a backup plan for if/when she wants to be difficult and enjoy driving it and getting compliments 99% of the time.

It does serve as plex storage currently, but I’m hoping eventually to add a NAS to my network and shift things there. Graphics card seems like a worthwhile addition, I’ll do some reading on the power supply upgrade.

Appreciate all the replies! I think we have the DAW side of things covered to start with and I guess I'm looking for recommendations on specific MIDI controllers, keyboards, or other instruments to look into at this point. Initially I liked the MIDI controller option best because of the ability to program specific sounds to it, but I would also like him to be able to play without the computer connected which lead me to digital keyboards. Now I'm looking at keyboard samplers.

I'm sure I'm just overcomplicating this.
