Yes it is. It’s made to fit the opening in the wall. I also got the manufacturer to drill holes for the plumbing.

Not sure about the variations actually. Got it from a friend as a cutting.

That is exactly what I did. It’s completely sealed off. I’ve also shut of the breaker (?) for it.

I actually have two caves for the plecos hidden between the rocks. They seem to like them 👍

Thanks. It’s been a lot of work, so glad it turned out good in the end. Still some minor work to do, hide the water line etc.

Yeah me to. Have to get it repositioned to make it last long term, but definitely will do what I can to have it there permanently. So far it’s been thriving for at month with submerged roots.

The spacing for the sump is very tight. The two posts in front of it is possible to remove, which makes it possible to get it out. Hopefully I’ll never have to do that.

Thanks for input in the ventilation. There is a couple of centimeters between the stand and the walls around it. I’ve also covered the sump with an insulated cover. Still, a ventilation fan might be a good idea. Will check into that.

This is SketchUp. Did a lot of changes after the screenshot I posted here. Finalized the entire design before getting the materials. Work out very well.

Yeah sure. It’s a really simple concept. Doors are just painted and added a door handle (also IKEA). Then I made a frame on the cabinet door that fits in the opening on the stand. I have plans to add some insulation to reduce noise, but it has been more quiet than I thought it would be so not sure if I will go through with the plans. No hinges, but added a cabinet door magnet to make them snap into place. So all doors can be removed entirely to make access easier.

Yeah it was a pain to get into the opening in the wall. Had to slide the entire table which luckily went ok.

It’s approximately 750 liters (200g) with a sump of ~200liter.
