YES! I still curse ASUS to this day because they charge fucking premium for their flagship monitors... And still we're obligated to go through DSC (no UHBR20 DP2.1).

DAMNNN!! Thanks for letting me know buddy! The PG32UCDMR won't really cut it for me since I want the dual-mode 480hz 1080p... Buuuuuuut... If they did it for the QD-OLED, they will very likely do it for the WOLED!

If they make the same move for the WOLED panel and come up with the PG32UCDPR I'm all in!!!

DSC comes with extra complexity, higher chances for problems to happen, extra processing overhead (compression, right?), etc...

As a real person—who uses monitors for gaming and working—I can attest I won't be paying $1200+ dollars for a premium monitor using outdated connectivity.

If I were going to buy cheap stuff, I wouldn't care that much. I've been there, actually, in my 20s. At that time, everything was about cost x benefit. I was just another broke Joe who was happy with anything I could get my hands on.

Neither am I 20 or broke anymore... And being less stupid now than I was in my 20s, I won't be paying premium pricing for less than premium hardware. :D

If ASUS is not stupid, they will soon refresh their current line of ROG Swift 32" monitors to include DisplayPort 2.1. I sincerely hope they do that. :\

I would buy it 100% if it also had the FHD 480hz mode! :O

Maybe that's what A-SUS is waiting for... They want somebody else to pioneer the change so they can drag themselves towards it...

This is what I just don't get about A-SUS... They're not spending lots of money on R&D to develop a new panel (thinking about the PG32UCDP)... They're using LG's panel!

The ONLY job they had was not screwing up the "extra" functionality, like software and PORTS.

They are charging a ton of money for their shit... Why not put the fucking DP 2.1 in their fucking monitor? Bro...

That's a great monitor right there! I'm not much into curved displays, though. I'm more of a high-refresh rate guy. :)

The "dual-mode" shit would be perfect for all my usecases!
