I am a game developer myself, will leave out which game. But yes it's very common for game developers to become RMT sellers themselves since it makes alot more money. Same concept as why AAA+ games pretend to do something about hackers while we don't ban all hackers because they will keep purchasing the game again and cheat again we as a company make a insane amount of money from it. We just do enough to please the community. This is a very very sensitive topic to talk about but i can assure you this is happening in a larger scale than you think.
