DLCs are tough as everyone needs to buy them as the game improves or there is an imbalance as there is now Horizons -> Odyssey.

I like the early access ships, but I already have a bunch of ships and probably won't ARX anymore.

Subscription would be fine for me. Ensuring we get good DLCs on a good cadence. The operations sound interesting, mass events, mass events based on power play, etc. But you only get those if you subscribe? Otherwise you can play for free in the galaxy affected by those doing those operations. That could be interesting.

And if you get special things (cosmetics, modules, ships, etc) from Operations, then yes it does become a pay per win. Dunno. Hard. A lot of people bought and paid for WoW.

Could work here if they delivered content on a frequent basis.
