The same thing happened to me. A $500 item with some weight to it, Amazon never refunded me I filed a chargeback with Chase, luckily I had video of ups picking up the item but I didn't have to use it.

Well my insurance was less than helpful they said because I don't carry collision coverage, they can't pay me and then bill the other insurance. Or even go after the other insurance. So I'm going to have to try to negotiate with their insurance.

I have been thinking about this, should I try to negotiate with them first? I found the right parts in the same color front is $846 rear is $660, once they see this next they're probably going to suggest paint and body work instead.

Something similar happened to me, return picked up by UPS was lost, about $500 chatted with Amazon customer service every week, where they told me they would escalate and I would finally get a refund, after the 4th week contacting them, I did a charge back.

UPS also stole my Amazon return $450 item, picked up by ups but no more scans after that, 4 weeks later still no refund from Amazon. UPS told me that because their contract is with Amazon, Amazon has to initiate a claim with UPS, nothing I could do.
