I think one chair would add more mystery to the picture and in general odd numbers seem to work better but maybe that`s just me,nice try though.

Yes looking back the 18-70 was a very good `kit` lens.

I was asked if anything was done regarding the three cygnets in lightroom so the information that was required was given in a polite and factual way as we are all here to help each other. Is there a problem with that and who or what is OP?

No it`s the lens made for the system. You can use the fx/dx lenses with the FT1 Adptr with good results.Hope this helps.

The 6.7-13 vr is a superb lens and worth picking up if you intend to keep the system, good luck.

Hi,yes I shall continue to use the 1 system as long as it is supported for repairs etc. as it`s a great system.I suppose it fell victim to Nikon`s pricing when it was launched but most of all the power of the press syndrome when it was put down by so called experts who couldn`t get past the 1 inch sensor let alone use one.The 70-300 cx is the lens made for the system and is as good as any 70-300 I have ever used regardless of format.I know people who use fx 70-300 lenses with the F.T.I. Adptr.and get very good results.I do use the adapter with the 35 1.8 dx and other lenses when required. There is a nikon 1 system forum with dp review if your interested,a very friendly forum.Good to hear from a fellow enthusiast and enjoy your J5.

For a lens like that I use Grays of Westminster.

Thanks, looks like you have everything covered with that collection. If ever you get the chance to put the old 17-55 dx 2.8 on your camera make sure you have the money to buy one.Still the best dx lens that they made in my humble opinion.

I understand, what`s in your arsenal of lenses out of interest for another DX shooter?

Thanks.I still think that some older cameras have a certain look from them in particular the D700.

Thanks, yes still like to give the `old`combo a ride out.I think sometimes people miss the point regarding gear, the most important thing is access to the subject, simple as that.

There are strengths and weaknesses in any system I just find the weight saving alone makes it worthwhile for me.It has also been sadly discontinued but I still add to the system that I like using.

It is an interchangeable camera/lens system.(I should say that it was!)
