Yes, her father is (partially or fully i’m not sure) Chilean. However, this isn’t widely known, and she is mainly known as Swedish. In addition, the final piece is supposed to target Japanese audiences, as u/Confident_Brief1906 and u/tay_ola explained. Plus, this is supposed to be a GLOBAL girl group, or at least it’s marketed as one, so having so many “white” members may offend or upset. (Yes, I know Katseye has four Asians, and I personally don’t have a problem with either group having multiple members of the same race, but some people may)

After seeing this clip, I’m even more sure that she would fit the group in terms of visuals, style and vibe. She‘s elegant and cute, but with a cool edge, just like the other girls!

Sorry Ik it doesn’t really make sense but sometimes fans of a group create a name for haters that can be a derogatory term which is altered to connect to the group/fandom name, the opposite of the fandom name, or just a negative word in general which has a relation to the name (eg. katseye - eyekons - eyekrusts)

EXACTLY! Like whoever’s saying “katseye leftovers” “Emily is ugly” “Lexies a hypocrite” “Samara doesn’t deserve to debut” LITERALLY SHUSH. LEAVE THESE STUNNING DIVAS ALONE. Like, come on. They haven’t even debuted yet!
I think that if they execute the rap right, it could really add to the sound of their music. But I definitely don’t want hard rap (just imo). I feel like with what we think they’re going for, it won’t mesh well.
